We have had 2 seatbelts in this vehicle fail. The drivers seat belt would not pull out all of the way and was replaced under warranty. The rear left (drivers side) seatbelt has now failed in a similar way. The belt is stuck retracted and will not pull out. The part is back ordered with no estimate of availability. I have never had a seatbelt fail and to have 2 fail on the same vehicle raises concerns.
I have a 2018 Ford Edge that radiator fluid has leaked into the cylinder causing the vehicle to malfunction. Ford knows about this problem and refuses to do a recall. Also, I have a seatbelt that hasn’t worked in years and needs replacement. I contacted Ford years ago and have been told repeatedly that it’s on back order.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the retractor for the driver's side rear seat belt was inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

I have to mess with the seat belt height adjuster to get it to work and sometimes it just doesn't which then makes my seat belt alert light and beep go off every few minutes. It's also against the law to go without my seat belt which is definitely an issue. I haven't even had this car for a year and I have not had any accidents nor did the car report I got when I purchased it state that there were any accidents on it.

The petition further alleges that after the vehicle has sat and cooled down, the engine runs roughly and generates a check engine light for a cylinder misfire. This defect petition is being opened to evaluate the issue and determine whether to grant or deny the petition. The petition can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov under ODI number 11754989.
