The fuel tank is leaking where the fuel tube goes into the tank. The seal starts to leak and they do not make a replacement seal, you have to replace the entire fuel tank. This is the 2nd Promaster van that I have had and the 2nd time this has happened. This is dangerous to have fuel leaking from the front of the vehicle. This is a poor design, it’s a very common problem with these vehicles that still hasn’t been addressed. It’s also an expensive problem because the tank costs $1300 without labor, and you just can’t buy the gasket itself you have to buy the whole tank.

Replaced under Invoice #CHCS490962. 2. Catastrophic Transmission & Drivetrain Failure (05/15/2026 @ 66,082 miles): The transmission suffered recurring fluid leaks beginning at 49,197 miles (pan leak reseal) and 51,648 miles (complete front pump replacement). At 66,082 miles, the transmission suffered complete internal failure (burnt fluid, clutch metal material), resulting in total loss of reverse power and gear slipping while operating. Both front strut mounts failed on the same visit. Experiencing brake lockup and sudden total loss of transmission control under 66,000 miles on a commercial vehicle presents significant safety risks to vehicle operators and traffic.

The specific issue you are dealing with is Chrysler Recall 67C (NHTSA Campaign 25V720). More than 200 of these are from the VA. Edwards Auto Group In Council Bluffs, IA is trying to make the Veterans Health Administration pay labor for a safety recall that is stated above. I am reporting them because it is a safety recall and we should not have to pay for extra cost such as a 2x4. Please see below. It is my understanding that the Dealer is in the wrong here. •Absolute Free Labor: Dealerships enter franchise contracts with the manufacturer requiring them to execute recall repairs for free. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is legally obligated to provide the instructions and billable labor hours to the dealership. •The "2x4" Tool Excuse: If a manufacturer's official technical service bulletin specifies a specific physical manipulation or tool—even a makeshift one like a 2x4—to complete the repair, that labor time is factored into the flat-rate time Chrysler pays the dealer. The dealer cannot pass "difficult labor" or tool costs onto you. •No Deductibles or Add-ons: A dealer cannot apply any separate fees or surcharges to offset their operational challenges while resolving a safety defect.

I had NHTSA recall for this generator done (23E-030) which was to solve the same problem I just had. Apparently, they just moved to a smaller diameter fuel line to fit the fuel pump better. However, this hose also came off my Cummins generator fuel pump and was spewing gas all over the generator and the ground when we ran it. This is a very unsafe condition and I'm surprised, after the recall was performed by a certified Cummins dealer (verified by Cummins) that this "new" fuel line has also come off the fuel pump.
Rollx Vans (Rollx) is recalling certain GMC Yukon, Sierra, Chevrolet Express 2500, Ford Transit, E-250, Toyota Sienna, Sienna Hybrid, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town and Country, Voyager, Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Ram Promaster vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. Please refer to Rollx's recall report for specific model year information. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Rollx will work with Q'Straint to inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 5, 2026. Owners may contact Rollx's customer service at 1-800-956-6668.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Electrical circuits that overheat increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooling fan module and fuse. In addition dealers will provide an addendum for the manual and label for the power distribution center. Some interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed December 11, 2025. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 11, 2025. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the vehicle's rearview camera image not to display properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
