I have had water leaking into the vehicle from the sunroof, down the driver side B pillar and filling the battery compartment under the driver seat and leaving the carpeting wet. I discovered this in early 2023 only because i placed my hand on the floor behind the driver seat and felt it was wet. In April of 2023 the Jeep dealer cleaned the sunroof drains but it kept leaking. In October of 2023 I took it back again and they said the sunroof was damaged from the manufacturer and it had to be replaced. I dropped of the vehicle on 12/22/2023 so they could install a new sunroof and picked it up on 1/3/2024. I then dropped it off again on 1/10/2024 as it was still leaking. I picked it up again on 1/23/2024 and they said the new sunroof is also damaged and needs to be replaced. As of 2/16/2024 the part has not arrived and water still come into the vehicle, soaking the carpet under the driver seat and driver side passenger floor, there is a wire harness that comes from the B pillar and towards the driver seat that is also wet and the batter compartment fills with water. Also since October the auto stop start feature which used to activate during every drive has not activated once, dealer keeps saying it is working as it should. If so why has it not activated in 4 months? Has the water intrusion caused this issue? Is the water intrusion going to cause mold, rust or electrical issues?

While driving on the highway with the adaptive cruise control set to 77mph, the forward collision alert went off and tapped the brakes while passing a vehicle towing a trailer in the lane to the right. looking back at video on my dash cam, there was nothing in the road that should have set off the warning and the other vehicle was within their lane the entire time. I have had several false warnings in the past but this was the first time it applied the brakes.

In August 2023 a recall was issued for my vehicle (Recall 56A) for an issue with the Central Vision Park Assist Module. My CVPAM software was updated per the recall. As soon as this software was completed, my backup and forward facing camera has not functioned properly. Initially my backup camera guidelines disappeared and my forward facing camera guidelines would not turn off. My opened a "Star" case with Chrysler and worked on this issue for 3 months, replacing the camera, updating software, replacing two different camera modules and nothing would correct the issue. In November Chrysler told the dealer not to replace any more hardware and they acknowledged there was an issue with the software update that caused the problem. They informed my dealer that an update would come out to correct the issue in either a recall or a dealer notice. On [XXX] my backup camera and my front facing camera stopped working completely. I took my vehicle back to the dealer and they performed a diagnostic on the system. The same error codes were given to them as was before when only the guidelines were missing. My dealer opened another star case with Chrysler on 1/29/24 to look into the issue but as i write this complaint on 2/7/24 I have not received any additional info from my dealer or Chrysler as to when this issue will be corrected. I have been without a backup camera since [XXX] and I feel this is becoming a greater safety concern with all of the children in my neighborhood. Cycled the vehicle on and off multiple times with no restoration of power steering. Vehicle was towed to dealership. Vehicle spent 18 days in service with no fix other than to clear code U0131 "Loss of Comm with power steering" and to do a EPS Flash. Vehicle power steering issue may come again and no fix offered by Jeep. Phone call to Jeep fielded no help and offered no assistance.

Received recall letter for my car. I took the car to the dealership for an oil change and recall check. They mentioned they had to order the part for the recall. I also complained about a noise I was hearing when the car was stopped at a light, etc. They mentioned it was the motor mount and would need to be replaced too. I have been trying to obtain updates from the dealership since October 2023, and I keep getting the run around. They were supposed to call me last week to coordinate loaner as supposedly they had received my parts, but never heard back from them. I feel this car is a lemon and I would like to file an official complaint to see what options I have.

The first occurrence was upon starting the vehicle in a parking lot. The death cluster lit up with power steering unavailable, airbags unavailable, autobrake disengaged, and the the battery warning. The dealership towed the vehicle and replaced the batteries. In April of ‘22 While driving the vehicle the power steering became unavailable, forcing a difficult left turn off a major roadway. The same warning lights came on and the vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed and a new power steering rack and steering gear were installed. Third occurrence was in the driveway recently when again upon starting the same warning lights were on and there was no power steering available. The vehicle is at the dealership now being inspected.

Engine performance was rough due to the loss of some of the engine controls and the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module). - Vehicle was inspected by a dealer of the OEM - There was a check engine light, and loss of control electronics (Stop start system control, park assist control, etc. ). Problem first appeared on 11-27-2023.

On June 8, 2023, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US, LLC (FCA) filed Safety Recall 23V-413 affecting certain 2022–2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and2021–2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles to address rear coil springs that may not have been properly installed during vehicle production. An improperly installed rear coil spring may detach while the vehicle is in motion, creating a road hazard that can increase the risk of a crash for following motorists and may result in injury to other road users. Since the filing of Recall 23V-413, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received twenty (20) unique consumer complaints alleging rear coil spring detachments occurring after the recall remedy was performed. These reports raise concerns regarding the effectiveness of the recall remedy and suggest the possibility of additional factors not addressed by the original recall campaign. Accordingly, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) is opening this Recall Query (RQ) to assess the adequacy of FCA’s remedy procedure under Recall 23V-413 and to evaluate the root cause(s) of post-remedy coil spring detachments. NHTSA received a petition on or about July 18, 2022, requesting that Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 141 be applied to all electric and hybrid vehicles operating in the United States. The petition can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov under ODI Number 11486072. FMVSS 141 establishes performance requirements for pedestrian alert sounds for motor vehicles. The standard applies to hybrid and electric vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 4,536 KG or less or are defined as low-speed vehicles. The standard became fully applicable to all such vehicles manufactured on or after March 1, 2021.On January 27, 2023, NHTSA opened Defect Petition (DP) 22-005 to evaluate the subject matter described in the petition. On June 24, 2023 and as supplemented on June 25, 2023, the petitioner notified NHTSA he was withdrawing his petition. The petitioner indicated that, based on his review of data, there is no justification for asserting potential benefits that could be derived from actions sought by my petition. Based on the petitioner's withdrawal, DP22-005 is closed. Closure of this DP does not represent a determination by NHTSA regarding the subject matter of the petition.
