The original engine mounts are causing the engine to have a loud knocking sound at idle. Jeep is aware of the bad engine mounts and issued technical service bulletin #09-015-22. The CDJR dealer confirmed the engine mounts need to be replaced and it is a known problem. The 3 year/36,000 mile warranty just expired and they refused to replace the mounts under the powertrain warranty. Bad engine mounts are a safety concern because they allow excessive engine movement, which can damage steering, drivetrain, fuel, cooling, and electrical components, potentially leading to loss of vehicle control or a breakdown. If a mount fails completely, the engine can shift enough to affect shifting, steering, or throttle operation, increasing the risk of a crash.

My screen goes completely black a few times a day while driving and then comes back on or it freezes. Automatic updates when the truck does a software update, it never corrects this issue. The Cherokee L was not included on the recall list but there is definitely a problem.
There is a continual problem with this car. Randomly, about every 1-2 weeks, my entire infotainment center, customer settings, and seat preferences will reset to Italian and the metric system. There is a continual problem with this car. Randomly, about every 1-2 weeks, my entire infotainment center, customer settings, and seat preferences will reset to Italian and the metric system. When this happens, the front collision warning system turns off. The radio screen also begins to flash on and off, where I cannot use the backup camera and audio cuts out. I have had it to my local Jeep dealership about 6 times now, and they are able to reset the system but the problem comes back. I had it there earlier in the week and the technician told me that there is no permanent fix, and that I will be coming back routinely because I am not the only one with this issue.
Touch screen display "blacks" out. Screen goes completely blank for a few moments then returns to normal. Has been ongoing for a few years but dealership can't find anything wrong. Now it happened while I reversing so I couldn't use/see back up camera angle. Other similar jeep models made the recall but not mine.
Passenger lumbar support bladder bags blow up in their own causing seat leather to stretch and seat back to pop off. Took to dealership, the whole fuse and/or electrical panel related to passenger seat controls is faulty. This is the second time this has happened to my jeep.

1) The 'Forward Collision Warning Off' light has continued to show on my dashboard, even though everything in the system indicates that it is on. 2) From time to time, usually when using the remote start, the system will change settings to Italian Language and also change temp to C rather than F. 3) On at least 3 occasions, when I start the car, all warning lights turn on, such as Service Power Steering, Lane Assist, Automatic emergency Braking, etc. I have to turn the car completely off, wait a few minutes, and turn back on to have thing behave as normal.
The sunroof exploded and shattered throughout the car while driving on the freeway, no other cars in front of me and no overhead bridges. Speed was approx 50 mph.
The forward collision warning turns off on it's own. Jeep did an upgrade and now the radio turns off and on by itself, changes in preference happens without warning and forward collision warning stays lit. Jeep has replaced the radio 3 times since and I've been to the dealership at least 15 times to address the issue but the issue has not been resolved. This has gone on since 2023. Jeep is aware of the issue because i read a memo addressing it at the dealership but they would not provide me a copy of it.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear coil spring lower isolators, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed September 29, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026. This recall replaces NHTSA recall numbers 26V051 and 23V413. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the rear coil spring assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed February 12, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in March 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 20D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on January 30, 2026. The center stack upper display (DCSD) contains a transistor that may overheat and prevent the rearview camera image from displaying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers replaced the DCSD, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been repaired. Owner notification letters were mailed February 27, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 11C.

An improperly secured connector for the front seat side air bags (SAB) may prevent the air bags from deploying. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 214, "Side Impact Protection."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers secured the connector, free of charge. All affected vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed December 17, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is B3B.
