Hard shifting occurred. Then service 4WD light came on dash. After an oil change, the light went away, but the hard shifting is still there. An independent dealer replaced my transfer case as well as completed an update to the transmission. The hard shifting came back even worse, with almost every gear. Took to a Dodge/Ram/Jeep dealership who completed a TSB 21-015-23. Their next recommendation is to replace the valve body and if that doesn’t fix it, then replace the transmission. They stated this recommendation came directly from Stillentis. Since this is a known issue from Stillantis, they should be issuing a recall immediately. Failure of the transmission can cause sudden power loss, unpredictable acceleration, stalling, and fire hazards. These things can in turn cause accidents and safety hazards.

There was a previous recall for camera system that was fixed using a OTA over the air update per JEEP. This update introduced new problems It disabled the forward collision detection and disabled paddle shifting and other safety features which should also be issued as a RECALL because the dealer is not reputable to this on their own. The fix that they did requires customer to come in and have more work done at their expense and they pretend they didn't cause it but clearly this is a major problem across their whole line of Cars.

Issue regarding Service 4wd light coming on. This is a known issue and is there is a Technical Service Bulletin but no recall. This is a safety hazard and needs to be addressed as a recall. This is a manufacturer issue. It causes the 4wd system to not work properly and driving in rain snow is a safety hazard.

We noticed the "battery" indicator light was lit, so we changed the battery. That addressed the light, but soon it lit up again, followed by an overheated engine warning so we stopped and called for a tow to Puente Hills Jeep. We were informed it was a pulley so it was replaced along with the serpentine belt. Soon after receiving the vehicle, it started smoking, and it appeared it was catching fire so we had it towed to the dealer for the second time in one week. We've been informed it's the air conditioner compressor and it will be replaced. The concern is that we're dealing with this so soon after the basic warranty period has expired.

Egr is making the check engine light go on. There wasn’t a recall for my vin listed. I don’t know if they fixed it and it happened again or if the never fixed it and said they did or if my car wasn’t identified in the recall.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear coil spring lower isolators, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed September 29, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026. This recall replaces NHTSA recall numbers 26V051 and 23V413. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.
