2026 Honda CR-V

I am filing a formal complaint regarding Recall 26V-366 for my 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid (VIN: [XXX]). I have been waiting for more than three weeks for the required recall part. Honda has informed me that the part is still on backorder and that no one can provide an estimated delivery or repair date. I have been told that the part is not available in California. I rely on this vehicle for my daily work and income. Because Honda cannot provide the required recall part within a reasonable time, I am suffering significant financial losses every day. While I understand that recalls are sometimes necessary, it is unacceptable for a manufacturer to issue a safety recall without ensuring that repair parts are available. Customers should not be left waiting indefinitely without a solution. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate Honda’s handling of Recall 26V-366, including the prolonged lack of available parts and the absence of any repair timeline. My dealer cancelled my appointment because it doesn’t have required parts. They say waiting time can be more than two months, and don’t provide a loaner or replacement car. The other dealers said waiting time is 2 months. When I call the manufacturer to solve this issue they said to call the dealer. I believe the manufacturer is failing to remedy this safety recall within a reasonable time and is leaving consumers without a safe alternative. I am requesting a formal investigation and warranty review regarding the sunroof glass on my 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD. The vehicle was purchased new, and within approximately the first week of ownership I discovered stress fractures and cracking in the sunroof glass while the vehicle was being driven and maintained under normal conditions. The vehicle has not been involved in any accident, collision, rollover, vandalism incident, or known impact event that would reasonably explain the damage. To the best of my knowledge, no object struck the glass, and there was no unusual noise or event that would indicate an external cause. The cracking appeared unexpectedly and seemed more consistent with stress-related failure than obvious impact damage. Shortly after discovering the issue, my wife contacted the selling dealership to report the concern. During that conversation, she was informed that sunroof glass replacement would not be covered. Given that the damage appeared almost immediately after delivery, we were disappointed by that response and believe the matter deserves a more thorough evaluation. My family has owned several Honda vehicles over the years and has remained loyal to the brand because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and engineering excellence. In comparing this vehicle to previous Hondas we have owned, the sunroof glass appears noticeably thinner and less substantial. While I understand modern vehicles are designed with weight reduction and efficiency in mind, the early appearance of cracking raises legitimate concerns about material durability, manufacturing quality, installation, or structural stress. After discovering the damage, I researched the issue online and found numerous reports from vehicle owners describing cracked, shattered, or spontaneously failing sunroofs. While internet reports alone do not establish a defect, they suggest this type of concern is not isolated and warrants careful review.

Someone stole my radar sensors that is located behind the front Honda emblem. My car still drives but critical security features are disabled. It's not covered under warranty and when I asked Honda if they can put something in to protect the sensor from being stolen again they said they don't have anything. I am scared to park my car anywhere . The part is so easy to steal even a child can do it!!!

The moonroof glass on my 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport shattered unexpectedly without any known impact, collision, or road debris strike. The vehicle was being normally operated/parked when the tempered glass suddenly failed. There was no visible impact point or exterior damage to the roof surrounding the glass. The shattered glass created a potential safety hazard to vehicle occupants and other drivers. I am requesting investigation into possible spontaneous tempered-glass failure or manufacturing defect.

While driving, car engine stutters and stops. The infotainment system went black while driving. The system is hard to steer often while turning. The trunk would not open when touching button for it to open. Took out the key fob and it also would not respond. Used the door release from dash and still would not open. Cancel the control unit then tried again and key fob worked that time. I went to dealer and it was reset, and this all happened after the reset. Car was inspected on May 6 at Ed Napleton Honda St. Peters. Miles 8766. Car purchased at 6500 miles. Recall SRS Software was performed.

Sunroof glass was shattered while on freeway. No rock or debris hit. She was driving back to home from office and other car drivers reported something falling out from top and when she stopped and checked, everywhere was glass debris. This is 2026 Honda crv hybrid sport and just 35 days old bought from dealer. Dealership is saying its not covered under warranty so have to pay from either pocket or insurance

My vehicle was recently targeted, and the sensor was removed, resulting in loss of critical driver-assistance features such as collision mitigation braking and adaptive cruise control. This creates a significant safety risk, as the vehicle’s ability to detect and respond to hazards is compromised. Additionally, multiple vehicles in my neighborhood have experienced similar incidents, indicating a potential widespread defect rather than an isolated case. I believe this design exposes owners to both safety hazards and financial burden, and I request that this issue be investigated for possible recall or corrective action to improve the security and protection of the radar sensor.
