Structure

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED HANDLING PROBLEMS SINCE OWNERSHIP WITH EXCESSIVE WEAR OF TIRES AND REAR SUSPENSION FAILED DUE TO OVERWEIGHT LOAD, CONSUMER WAS GIVEN WRONG INFORMATION ON WEIGHT CAPICITY.

SEAT BACK OF THE REAR BENCH SEAT MAY BREAK AWAY FROM THE SEAT CUSHION IN AN ACCIDENT.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: SEAT OCCUPANT WOULD BE SUBJECT TO GREATER INJURY; VEHICLEWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 207.

Remedy: INSTALL REINFORCEMENT THAT RUNS FROM SIDE OF SEAT BACK FRAME ASSEMBLY TO SEAT CUSHION FRAME ASSEMBLY, STRENGTHENING THE SEAT BACK.
