WHENEVER DRIVER GOES TO THE TURN THE WHEEL LEFT OR RIGHT, THE STEERING CATCHES INSTANTLY AND MAKES A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE. DEALER IS AWARE OF PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED. OWNER WAS TOLD THAT PROBLEM COULD BE WITH THE RACK AND PINION OR TIE ROD. *AK
CONSUMER WAS DOZING OFF WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON THE ROAD, CAUSING CONSUMER TO HIT TWO OTHER VEHICLES. AIR BAG ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FAILED TO DEPLOY, BUT THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DID DEPLOY. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING TOWARD THE SUN THE DASHBOARD IN RELECTED IN HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD. RIGHT HAND IDE OF THE FRONT WINDSHIELD IS DISTORTED. *AK
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW IF ANY OTHER LESABRE OWNERS ARE HAVING THESE AUTOMATIC LOCK FAILURES. WE HAD THE FIRST ONE FIXED AT OUR EXPENSE AND IT WAS VERY COSTLY. WE HAVE NOT HAD THE LAST TWO REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WOULD BE COST PROHIBITIVE.
CONSUMER SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL. WHEN LOOKING UNDER THE VEHICLE, OWNER NOTICED A PIN HOLE IN THE FUEL HOSE. ON 8/20/98 THE HOSE WAS REPLACED BY A DEALER. *AK
FLANGE THAT IS DEPRESSED ON THE SHAFT OF THE WATER PMP AND HAS THE PULLEY BOLTED TO IT, LET LOOSE, CAUSING THE SERPENTINE BELT TO FLY OFF, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF POWER STEERING. QCAW
PCM MODULE FAILED RESULTING IN STALLING.
ENGINE ACCELERATES WHEN APPLYING BRAKES.
