METAL TRIM ON THE BEZEL OF THE GEAR SELECTOR (AT THE BASE) HAS PEELED OFF AND CRACKED. IT IS VERY SHARP AND I CUT MY HAND. IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH CARS ON THIS PLATFORM (GOLF, GTI, GOLF SPORTWAGEN).

NONE OF THE AIRBAGS IN THE WHOLE CAR WENT OFF BUT THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND VEHICLE STATUS SAYS "ERROR: AIRBAG".
