MY FRAME RUSTED THROUGH ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND THE FRONT AXLE BRACKET SEPARATED FROM THE FRAME. THE VEHICLE DROVE ERRATICALY UNTIL THE BRACKET CAME TO REST IN THE HOLE IT LEFT IN THE FRAME. UPON INSPECTION THE FRAME IS RUSTED FROM THE BRACKET FORWARD TO UNDERNEATH THE PASSENGER SEAT. *JB

THE WRONG SAFETY BELT LATCH TONGUE PLATE WAS INSTALLED IN SOME SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLIES.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THE SAFETY BELT WILL NOT LATCH CORRECTLY, CAUSING THERESTRAINT SYSTEM TO FAIL; THE OCCUPANT WILL BE EXPOSED TO INCREASED RISK OFINJURY IN A SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH IF FAILURE OCCURS.

Remedy: REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLIES.
