I NOTICED WHEN I WAS FILLING UP WITH GAS THAT I WAS LEAKING GAS WHERE THE FILLER TUBE HAD RUSTED AWAY FROM THE TANK AS WELL AS THE RETURN FUEL LINE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 TOYOTA TACOMA. THE CONTACT NOTICED THERE WAS FUEL LEAKING FROM THE FUEL TANK AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE THEY FOUND THAT THE FRAME, EXHAUST AND THE FUEL TANK WERE SEVERELY CORRODED AND RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SPEAK WIT THE MANUFACTURER FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.

UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS, THE FRONT SUSPENSION SUPPORT CAN CRACK LEADING TO FAILURE OF THE SUPPORT.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE SUSPENSION SUPPORT.

THE BATTERY CAN HAVE A DEFECTIVE WELD INSIDE THE POSITIVE AND/OR NEGATIVE TERMINAL ALLOWING THE CONNECTION INSIDE THE TERMINAL TO SEPARATE.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN A NO-START CONDITION, OR A BATTERY EXPLOSION.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE DEFECTIVE BATTERIES.
