TRIED REPLACING THE DASH AND IT DID NOT WORK. TOOK IT TO SEVERAL MECHANICS AND THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG. HAD MY BRAKES CHECKED OUT AND THEY ARE FINE. I CAN PUSH THE UP/DOWN LOCK BUTTON ON MY DOOR AND THE GAUGES WILL START WORKING, BUT THAT DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK. I HAVE TO PUT GAS IN MY CAR EVERY WEEK BECAUSE OF THE GAS HAND NOT WORKING PROPERLY EITHER. I HAVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME PROBLEM AND NO SOLUTIONS AND NO RECALLS. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ISSUE. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL.

Oct 17, 2013
Toyota is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Avalon, Avalon HV, Venza, Camry, and Camry HV vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the drain hose for the air conditioning condenser may become clogged causing water to accumulate at the bottom of the air conditioning condenser unit housing. The accumulated water may then leak through a seam in the housing onto the air bag control module potentially resulting in a short circuit of the module.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A short circuit may cause the air bags to become disabled or inadvertently deploy. An inadvertent airbag deployment can increase the risk of injury or the possibility of a crash. An inoperative airbag can increase the risk of injury in a severe crash. The power steering assist could also become inoperable resulting in increased steering effort and can increase the risk of a crash at low speeds.
Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will seal the air conditioning condenser unit housing and install a protective cover on the airbag control module, free of charge. The recall began on February 5, 2014. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.

SUMMARY: TOYOTA RECOVERED SOME FAILED IGNITION CONTROL MODULES FROM THEFIELD. INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT A SOLDER JOINT IN THE POWER TRANSISTOROF THE MODULE WAS SUBJECT TO FAILURE. BECAUSE THE PART IS AN EMISSIONRELATED COMPONENT A VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS RECALL CAMPAIGN WAS CONDUCTED.THE PREDOMINANT MODE OF FAILURE IS AN INABILITY TO START THE ENGINE,ALTHOUGH A STALLED CONDITION CAN OCCUR WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING.SINCE THE REPORTED OCCURENCE OF ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES IS SMALL, AND THEREPAIR IS BEING CONDUCTED UNDER THE EMISSIONS RECALL CAMPAIGN, THELIKLEHOOD OF FURTHER ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES IS REMOTE.===
