PURCHASED POWER KING TOW MAX STR 225/75/15 TIRES TO REPLACE MANUFACTURER ORIGINALS ON MY TRAVEL TRAILER. MANUFACTURER TIRES ARE ONLY C RATED AND I WANTED THE RELIABILITY OF AN E RATED 10 PLY TIRE. PLUS THE FACT THAT THE TIRES COULD BE INFLATED TO 80PSI. AFTER LESS THAN 1000 MILES A TIRE BUBBLE APPEARED ON THE SIDE WALL OF ONE OF THE TIRES. THAT WAS REPLACED IMMEDIATELY WITH A HERCULES TIRE. ON A RECENT TRIP I HAD A BLOW OUT OF ANOTHER TOW MAX STR TIRE WHICH CAUSED PUNCHER OF THE OTHER TIRE IN FRONT OF IT TO CAUSE A SLOW LEAK. AFTER GETTING AAA TO CHANGE TO MY SPARE AND GETTING HOME I WENT IMMEDIATELY TO THE TIRE STORE WHERE THEY CHANGED OUT THE REMAINING TOW MAX TIRES. THE PROBLEM WAS QUICKLY DIAGNOSED BY THE TIRE STORE MANAGER. THE TIRES HAD CROWNED WHICH IS A SIGN OF TIRE BELT SEPARATION. THE TIRES HEIGHT HAD GROWN TO A DISTURBING POINT WHERE THEY WERE COMING IN CONTACT WITH THE TRAILER FLOOR! I EXPERIENCED THE EXPENSE FOR NEW TIRES , AS WELL AS, THE EXPENSE OF HAVING TO ORDER A NEW TRAILER TIRE SKIRT. WHEN THE TIRE BLEW, THE STEEL LININGS OF THE TIRE QUICKLY LASHED OUT AND BLEW APART THE SKIRT INTO SEVERAL PIECES. LUCKLY TRAFFIC BEHIND ME WERE ABLE TO SEE THE RESULTS, SLOW AND AVOID THE DEBRIS.
