The contact owned a 2021 Ram Promaster 1500. The contact had stopped at a house that the contact worked on and parked the vehicle on the side of the house. The contact turned off the engine and entered the house, and after twenty minutes, when the contact stepped outside, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The flames spread to the house and caused damage to the property. Some of the paint melted; the garage door, driveway, side door, and some of the landscape were damaged. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. No police report was filed. The contact was informed by the fire department that the fire started due to a mechanical issue in the engine area. Afterwards, the contact was informed by the fire department that the investigation into the origin of the fire was inconclusive. The insurance company was notified and towed the vehicle to an unknown location. The insurance company declared the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the fire. The manufacturer advised the contact that a field inspector would be sent to inspect the vehicle. The field inspector had inspected the vehicle. The contact received an email from the manufacturer stating that the damage was not their responsibility and the claim had been closed. The contact stated that two weeks prior to the fire, a message saying "rear camera not available" was displayed, and an unknown warning code was illuminated on the instrument panel. Upon further investigation, the contact discovered that NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V552000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION) was associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.

The rearview camera intermittently fails when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. The image flickers, becomes distorted, upside down, or goes completely blank. This is a known issue covered under Recall #59C, but the dealer stated there is currently no available remedy. The failure makes backing up unsafe and unpredictable.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V552000 (Back Over Prevention); however, parts were not yet available. The contact stated that because of the failure, the contact was involved in two minor crashes while reversing. The contact was excited to learn about the recall; however, the parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer needed to take accountability and provide the parts for the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed, and the complaint was escalated. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

The contact called the local dealer and was informed that there was no warranty coverage on the vehicle and the parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 14,272.

Helo, The rearview camera on my commercial cargo vehicle is defective. I've been waiting for it to be replaced for two months, but they haven't responded. Reversing maneuvers are very difficult and risky in a large vehicle. I'm asking for your help.

Rollx Vans (Rollx) is recalling certain GMC Yukon, Sierra, Chevrolet Express 2500, Ford Transit, E-250, Toyota Sienna, Sienna Hybrid, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town and Country, Voyager, Pacifica, Dodge Grand Caravan, and Ram Promaster vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. Please refer to Rollx's recall report for specific model year information. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Rollx will work with Q'Straint to inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 5, 2026. Owners may contact Rollx's customer service at 1-800-956-6668.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The electrical circuit for the radiator fan may overheat.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Electrical circuits that overheat increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooling fan module and fuse. In addition dealers will provide an addendum for the manual and label for the power distribution center. Some interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed December 11, 2025. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 11, 2025. Additional owner notification letters were mailed in January, March, and June 2026. Remaining owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's numbers for this recall are 67C, B3C, and C9C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 30, 2025.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster and 2019-2020 Dodge Journey vehicles. Cracks in the microprocessor may cause the vehicle's rearview camera image not to display properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed beginning September 30, 2025. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated July 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 59C.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A partially engaged park pawl can result in a vehicle rollaway, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, and inspect and replace, as necessary, the transmission or components within the transmission, free of charge.
