JUNE 2, 2012 WHILE HEADING OUT OF TOWN FOR VACATION MY FAMILY AND I WERE TRAVELING DOWN US 40 HEADING EAST. A PASSING MOTORCYCLIST MOTIONED AND PULLED BESIDE US AND TOLD US THAT ARE TIRE WAS ON FIRE.WE IMMEDIATELY TURNED INTO AN COMMUNITY GARDEN PARKING LOT. EXITED OUR VEHICLE AND NOTED THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE WAS NOT ON FIRE, BUT WAS PUFFING MODERATE AMOUNT OF SMOKE FROM DRUM. WE CONTACTED OUR DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD US CONTACT COACHNET (ROADSIDE SERVICE). EVENTUALLY, COACHNET SENT OUT A FLAT BED AND TOOK OUR CAMPER TO THE TOW YARD. DUE TO IT BEING A WEEKEND NO APPROVED RV REPAIR DEALER WAS OPEN OR AVAILABLE.THAT NEXT MONDAY MORNING WE SPENT 3 OR MORE HOURS OF THE DAY ON PHONE ATTEMPTING TO HAVE CAMPER SENT TO REPAIR FACILITY. APPARENTLY, THERE WAS NO FOREST RIVER DEALER ABLE TO EVEN LOOK AT OUR CAMPER UNTIL WEDNESDAY AT EARLIEST. WE HAD TO DEMAND THAT THEY TAKE IT TO WARNER SPRING IN INDIANAPOLIS. THE TOW FACILITY DROPS CAMPER AT WARNER SPRING'S FACILITY. WHILE PULLING CAMPER INTO GARAGE WE NOTED THE MECHANICS COMMENTING THAT OUR CAMPER LOOKED JUST LIKE A CAMPER THEY HAD IN RECENTLY. THIS CAMPER TOO HAD MULTIPLE WHEEL BEARING FAILURES. WHEN REPAIRING OUR CAMPER THE MECHANICS INFORMED US THAT THE TRAILER HAD WHEEL BEARINGS AND BRAKES THEY WOULD COMMONLY SEE IN A 3500 LB. AXLE. OURS ARE RATED FOR 4400 LBS. THEY RECOMMENDED WE CHANGE OUT AXLES. WE HAD NEW WHEEL BEARINGS, BRAKE SHOES, AND HAD THE DRUM TURNED. WE CONTACTED PRIMETIME, WHICH PLACED US ON THREE-WAY CALL WITH LIPPERT, LIPPERT CLAIMED THAT THEY HAD TAKEN A 3500 LB. AXLE AND REPLACED THE AXLE TUBE WITH A 4400 LB. TUBE. WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH PRIMETIME WHOM CLAIMS IS A LIPPERT PROBLEM, LIPPERT NO RESPONSE. HAVE EMAILS, PICTURES, AND PARTS. SIDE NOTE: BRAKES ON LEFT SIDE STOPPED WORKING THIS PAST WEEKEND. OTHER CAMPER FAMILY AND US HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT, MAY REFER TO ODI#10482509. *TR UPDATED 11/08/12*LJ UPDATED 11/16/2012 *JS
