This did not break, it is a defect, and Nissan should have to look at it and repair it. 2023 Rogues have a recall for exactify what is happening to my seat, I saw a recall for 2016 and 2014 Rogues for a seat issue as well. I believe my car has a safety defect and Nissan is not willing to help me.

This is about Driver Seat making click noise under the seat whenever you break or start from a stop(accelerate from stopped position). The same click noise during driving if you break and accelerate. Its similar to noise if you click seat belt. Its something wrong going within the seat itself or seat assembly to the car's body. The seat railing itself looks good. When showed to dealer they saying some coins or objects stuck , but there are no objects stuck at railing. Found same complaints by many owners in the internet. I feel the seat may compromise on any sudden stop/break or if any accident. No other seats giving this click noise. No warning lamps on the dashboard.

Purchased a new 2018 Nissan Rogue. Purchased the Nissan Gold warranty for 7 hrs and 100,000 miles. Recently the drivers seat came very loose and was moving all directions making driving dangerous. Took the vehicle to the Nissan dealer we purchased from for repair. They reported the seat frame’ s rivets had broken and failed. Then they informed us the problem was not under warranty.cost to repair was to be 1,600 to replace the entire seat frame. The vehicle was less than 5 hrs old and mileage of 63k. Also I was told by Nissan personal that the problem was well known and a frequent safety concern, but Nissan corporation is refusing to repair or replace the seat frame, even under a very comprehensive extended warranty. I researched this type of complaint and yes it is a common problem that could lead to serious accidents. I am asking you to research this and order Nissan to fix the problems.

I have had the seat (driver) replaced by Nissan when the seat moves when accelerating and stopping that was two years ago. Now the dealership supposedly replaced the seat with a new one and this is happening again where the seat does not lock in position from moving back and forth. When you accelerate the seat moves back and if you brake the seat moves forward. This is a safety issue where the driver could possibly be injured from the seating moving unexpectedly.

The front seat rocked so bad I had to hang on to the steering wheel when braking and turning. Again, a huge safety issue. After arguing with Nissan that this was a safety issue they replaced the frame under the drivers side seat and I paid a $100.00 deductible. They said my extended warranty did not cover it, I really had to fight to get help on this. Safety issues should be covered no matter what, it's their fault. There's all kinds of complaints about this online. I should have complained a year ago to you but was unaware of the NHTSA. Sorry, I don't have documentation. THE CONTACT SHARING A ROLLAWAY INCIDENT W/ A 2018 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CAR WAS IN PARK WHEN THE EVENT OCCURRED. I'VE A FULLER VERSION OF THIS, IF NEEDED.*DT *DT*DT*DT*DT*JB*DT*DT*DT *TP DETAILS: ON 12/16/19, I CAME HOME AROUND 4:45PM. IT WAS RAINING & ALMOST DARK. MY SON WAS IN BACKSEAT & I WAS DRIVING. I PARKED AT THE TOP OF MY DRIVEWAY, FRONT 1ST. (THE DRIVEWAY IS LONG/SLOPED, BUT EVENS AT THE TOP, STILL SLIGHTLY ANGLED.) I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK, PRESSED THE PARKING BREAK (PER HABIT), AND, LEAVING THE CAR COMPLETELY ON, I UNLOCKED MY HOME'S DOOR. MY SON WAS IN THE CAR, LISTENING TO A SONG, AS I GOT THE TRASH CANS/MAIL FROM THE CURB. (THIS ALL TOOK 5 MINS, THUS, I KNOW THAT THE CAR WAS IN PARK, NOT NEUTRAL OR REVERSE.) I OPENED THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR & TOLD MY SON TO GO IN THE HOUSE. STANDING ON MY DRIVEWAY, I GOT MY BAGS & REACHED ACROSS TO PRESS THE KEYLESS START BUTTON. AS SOON AS I DID, THE CAR BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS AND HIT A TREE. THE CAR DOOR PUSHED ME DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. THANKFULLY, I WAS ABLE TO GET LEAP FREE, JUST AS THE CAR REALLY PICKED UP SPEED. IT FINALLY CRASHED INTO A TREE IN MY NEIGHBOR'S YARD, LANDING OVER A DRAINAGE DITCH B/W OUR HOMES. THERE WERE ONLY MINOR INJURIES. THE CARSEAT HEADREST BROKE. THE VISIBLE CAR DAMAGE IS ON THE REAR BUMPER/LIFTGATE AND THE PASSENGER DOOR. SHAKEN, I DIDN'T THINK TO TAKE PHOTOS OR CALL THE POLICE. AS I AWAITED A TOW TRUCK, I DID NOT ACCESS THE CAR: IT WAS OVER THE DITCH, IN MUD AND RAIN, W/ 1 WHEEL SUSPENDED IN AIR. WHEN THE TOW DRIVER HAD ME GET IN TO HELP HIM MOVE IT, AND I FOUND THE PARKING BREAK DEPRESSED AND THE CAR IN PARK. THE TOW-TRUCK DRIVER MAY BE ABLE TO VERIFY THIS. (THE PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT COMPLETELY PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. MAYBE HALFWAY.) *TP I HAVE FILED A REPORT WITH NISSAN. PE19010 · False Automatic Emergency Braking

Opened Sep 9, 2019 · No close date supplied

Status: open (inferred from source dates) · Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking

NHTSA received a defect petition (DP19-001) from the Center for Auto Safety (CAS) on March 21, 2019 alleging that the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system on Model Year (MY) 2017-2018 Nissan Rogue and Rogue Sport vehicles was engaging in cases where there was no obstruction in the path of the vehicle. The CAS petition additionally alleges that, based on Nissan's actions, the manufacturer is aware of the issue due to issuing a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) launching two "Quality Actions," and initiating a "Customer Service Initiative" in relation to it. CAS contends that Nissan's actions do not represent an adequate long-term solution to the problem, as the action is only available during the basic coverage period of the warranty. CAS also argues that the alleged failures are an unreasonable risk to safety and views Nissan's communications as not acknowledging the potential safety issue involved, instead treating the alleged problem as a performance update. The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) analyzed Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) complaints received from consumers and identified a total of 129 unique subject vehicle reports (for all submission dates) alleging a false positive triggering of AEB. Of these complaints, three were identified that contained allegations of a collision resulting from the activation of the system, and all three indicating related injuries. In response to ODI's April 15, 2019 Information Request letter, Nissan provided data indicating that it has received 750 unique subject vehicle complaints relating to false positive activation of the AEB system. Of these complaints, 12 were identified that contained allegations of a collision resulting from the activation of the system. Four complaints contained allegations of injuries, three of which were the result of a collision. These complaints included duplicates of complaints that ODI received. The injury allegations were limited to soft tissue type injuries such as whiplash and bruising.Based on its review of the information identified to date, ODI has granted the petition and is opening this preliminary evaluation in order to evaluate the cause, scope and frequency of AEB false positive activations, as well as to evaluate the suitability of the manufacturer's campaign to address the concern or improve performance of the AEB system. The complaints cited can be viewed at NHTSA.gov under the following ODI identification numbers: 11230875, 11230481, 11230361, 11229400, 11229302, 11229294, 11228994, 11223074, 11222925, 11222644, 11220499, 11218713, 11218608, 11217157, 11210334, 11210256, 11210148, 11209127, 11209032, 11207333, 11205931, 11205717, 11205661, 11205172, 11205124, 11205027, 11204803, 11204349, 11204324, 11196805, 11196561, 11196466, 11196091, 11195938, 11195574, 11194380, 11193989, 11192761, 11192283, 11192063, 11190855, 11190840, 11189976, 11187374, 11186903, 11185890, 11185883, 11185132, 11183406, 11180813, 11174713, 11173666, 11173302, 11172299, 11171331, 11170989, 11165434, 11164646, 11162898, 11162502, 11162396, 11161413, 11161230, 11155985, 11155209, 11155181, 11154181, 11153607, 11153334, 11151373, 11151028, 11142595, 11142557, 11142386, 11141775, 11141433, 11141387, 11141347, 11140604, 11139711, 11139226, 11133402, 11132376, 11130998, 11130662, 11129949, 11128704, 11124099, 11123564, 11123353, 11123321, 11122783, 11119475, 11119300, 11118604, 11115088, 11113479, 11113371, 11112371, 11111659, 11111057, 11110919, 11110689, 11104075, 11103844, 11103437, 11102715, 11102333, 11100117, 11099313, 11091006, 11089960, 11089798, 11089533, 11088815, 11088718, 11081072, 11079453, 11073644, 11072718, 11065505, 11061598, 11057739, 11056061, 11055766, 11048349, 11035301, 11033225, and 10972343.
