The radiator fan quit working around 116000 miles, causing engine to overheat, a/c to not work, coolant tank to boil all contents out each time the engine overheats. Starting the car is difficult now, have to pump the gas to get the engine to turn over. Battery dies often now.

My vehicle uses the jack knife key fab and I have reached out to the Nissan dealer multiple times that is located closet to me and have not heard back from them. Someone took my information back in February and said someone would call to set up an appointment and no one called.

The Backup camera is blurry during the day and at night totally useless with a grayed out picture as if your looking into a cloud. I have taken the car for this issue and some settings were changed, that only made things worse. I was then told is working normal. If this is normal it would be much safer not to have the backup camera as having it makes you want to use it. Almost hit a lady walking behind my car while backing out of a parking spot at 9pm. Nissan needs to recall these backup cameras.

The backup camera clarity is poor during the day and has no visibility at night. I took the car to the dealership in 2021 and was told that’s how it is and is normal. This is a safety issue that needs to be reviewed and a recall determination made.

Failure of the motor assembly fan shroud. AC stopped working while driving not realizing that the radiator fan had stopped working and no light indicator on the dashboard appeared. This could lead to damage on the radiator and engine due to no cooling. The replacement part is out of stock and hard to find and very expensive.

Not sure where to start with complaint.....I just bought a 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport, and talked to a key-smith about getting a duplicate Fob....was told that the 2014 - 2018 Rogues have an issue with Fobs possibly causing an malfunction in the car system, and if it did the minimum fix for it is $ 1100. (Besides the $ 350 to get another Fob). He said I would have to sign a waiver stating I understand the issue, and couldn't hold them liable. He said he see's this allot and doesn't understand why NIssan doesn't have a recall on it. Help.

Feb 16, 2023

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.

Sep 12, 2019

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Nissan Altima, Armada, Frontier, Kicks, Leaf, Maxima, Murano, NV, NV200, Pathfinder, Rogue, Rogue Sport, Sentra, Titan, Titan Diesel, Versa Note and Versa Sedan vehicles, as well as Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX30 and QX80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 Nissan GT-R and Taxi and Infiniti QX50, QX60, Q70, Q70L vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began November 11, 2019 and all affected VINs should be activated. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
