2007 NISSAN ARMADA. CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE BROKE DOWN DUE TO A FACTORY DEFECT FAULTY FUEL GAUGE *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED EVER SINCE THE VEHICLE BROKE DOWN, IT INTERMITTENTLY EMITS A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF BLACK SMOKE AFTER STARTING IT. WHEN THE CONSUMER RETURNED TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE FOR A THIRD TIME, HE WAS INFORMED THE ENGINE WAS DAMAGED TO LACK OF OIL CHANGES. THE CONSUMER STATED HE HAS PROOF THE OIL WAS CHANGED ON A REGULAR BASIS. ALSO, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING LIGHT ILLUMINATED, BUT NO LEAKS WERE FOUND AND THE BATTERY HAD TO BE REPLACED. *JB

NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2005-2009 TITAN, ARMADA, AND INFINITI QX56 VEHICLES. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUEL GAUGE MAY INACCURATELY DISPLAY THAT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SOME FUEL, TYPICALLY ABOUT ONE QUARTER TANK, WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS EMPTY.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL ON THE HIGHWAY, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL SENDER UNIT INSIDE THE FUEL TANK WITH A NEW IMPROVED SENDER CARD. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 22, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 210, 'SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY ANCHORAGES.' THE DRIVER'S SIDE THIRD ROW SEAT BELT UPPER ANCHOR BRACKET MAY BE CRACKED.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, A SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SEAT BELT BRACKET FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 1, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.
