THE RECTIFIER INSTALLED IN A VENTED COMPARTMENT IN THE PASSENGER SIDE STEPWELL OF THE VEHICLE OVERHEATS AND BREAKS DOWN DUE TO INADEQUATE VENTILATION.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE OVERHEATING AND BREAKDOWN OF THE RECTIFIER CAUSEDSUBSEQUENT FAILURES TO THE ALTERNATORS OF THE VEHICLES INVOLVED.
Remedy: MOVE THE RECTIFIERS FROM THE STEPWELL AREA TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE BUS BEHIND THE ENTRANCE DOOR TO INSURE PROPER VENTILATION.
