My 2025 KTM 890 Adventure R has an intermittent front-brake failure while riding on rocky, uneven terrain. The front brake lever suddenly travels to the handlebar with little or no braking pressure. I must pump the lever approximately two or three times to restore pressure. I have also felt pulsing while pumping it. Because this happens without a predictable warning, it creates a serious risk of losing front braking when I need to slow or stop. I reported the condition to an authorized KTM dealer. The brake system was bled and the front master cylinder was replaced, but the condition continued afterward. On the latest repair order, the dealer inspected rim runout and rotor straightness and stated that it could not reproduce the intermittent failure during its testing. KTM declined further warranty assistance and closed the case. The cause has not been identified, the reported failure remains unresolved, and the motorcycle is available for further inspection. I do not know whether the cause is hydraulic pressure loss, brake-pad knockback, the ABS hydraulic unit, or another component. I am reporting the observed front-brake behavior, not claiming that any particular part has been confirmed defective.
