The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250 hauling a 2020 Keystone Alpine equipped with HiSpec Tires, Tire Line: JURL4, Tire Size: ST235/80/R16, DOT Number: 041JUHPRL. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH and going uphill, the front driver’s side and rear passenger’s side tires sustained blowouts. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The tires were original equipment. The vehicle manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire manufacturer was notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 7,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 43,000.
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2020 Alpine, Avalanche, Fuzion, Laredo, Montana, Raptor, Crossroads Redwood, and Dutchmen Voltage trailers. The adhesive bond between the glass and the metal frame of the frameless windows may fail which can allow the glass to detach while moving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: If the window glass detaches while the vehicle is moving it could become a projectile, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the windows for proper adhesive bond strength, replacing the windows as necessary, free of charge. This recall began July 24, 2020. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 20-375.
