SEAT BECOMES UNLATCHED DURING NORMAL OPERATION. SEAT LATCH BECOMES UNLATCHED WHILE RIDING EVEN AFTER SECURING THE SEAT AND VERIFYING IT IS LOCKED IN PLACE. I REPEATEDLY FIND THE SEAT UNLATCHED AND NOW CHECK BEFORE EVERY RIDE. UNLATCHED SEAT COULD LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL.

WHILE ATTEMPTING TO USE THE REAR BRAKES ONLY WHILE NEGOTIATING A TURN, THE BRAKING SYSTEM (ABS+TRACTION CONTROL+LINKED BRAKES) APPLIED FAR TOO MUCH BRAKE POWER TO THE FRONT WHEEL VIA THE LINKED BRAKING SYSTEM. THIS NEARLY CAUSED ME TO COLLIDE WITH ANOTHER CAR AND A BUS. THE LINKED BRAKING SYSTEM APPLIES FAR TOO MUCH PRESSURE TO THE FRONT BRAKES, AND THE ABS SYSTEM APPLIES ITSELF IN A MANNER THAT INTERFERES WITH SMOOTH OPERATION IN THE CORNER. WERE IT NOT FOR EXTENSIVE FORMAL TRAINING AND DECADES OF EXPERIENCE AS A RIDER, I WOULD HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CONTROL THE MOTORCYCLE, LIKELY RESULTING IN A COLLISION. THIS SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REWORKED IMMEDIATELY, OR A FIX PROVIDED TO TURN THE SYSTEM OFF. THANK YOU AND BEST REGARDS, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'*JB

THIS MOTORCYCLE SEAT LATCHES TO THE MOTORCYCLE FRAME ON THE REAR OF THE SEAT, AND KEEPS COMING UNLATCHED DURING NORMAL RIDING. THIS COULD CAUSE THE RIDER SEATING TO BECOME UNSTABLE AND ALLOW TURNING FORCES TO DISMOUNT THE RIDER AND/OR CAUSE SEATING INSTABILITY.
