The second-row passenger side seat release button is non-functional. Third-row passengers cannot exit without this button — it is inoperable, and they cannot reach the manual lever due to insufficient space. Third-row passengers are physically trapped and cannot self-evacuate without outside assistance. In an emergency — collision, fire, or submersion — third-row passengers would have no ability to escape. This defect was first reported December 2, 2024, documented as unable to duplicate, and the vehicle returned without repair. Reported again January 14, 2026. Vehicle has been continuously at an authorized Jeep dealership since January 20, 2026 — 133+ consecutive days unresolved — due to repeated manufacturer parts delays with no confirmed resolution date. Additionally, a recurring key fob and door lock malfunction was reported across four separate visits spanning October 2024 through August 2025. Two open federal safety recalls — 77C (door trim detachment) and 88C (quarter window trim detachment) — show as incomplete in NHTSA's database despite being documented as completed by the dealership on January 20, 2026. Door trim was previously repaired October 29, 2024, suggesting a recurring defect. Defect confirmed by authorized dealership on multiple repair orders. Manufacturer retention team has open escalation case with no resolution. Component available for inspection — vehicle remains at dealership.

This situation is similar to the recent Palisade SUV recall: The seat folding system operates when the button is pressed, even if the seat is occupied. The system does not detect the presence of a seated passenger and allows the seat to fold in both 2nd and 3rd rows. The system lacks sufficient anti-pinch protection. The motor does not stop when encountering resistance, such as a person, child, or pet, and continues folding despite obstruction. I am in the process of making the complaint with the Jeep Customer Support which directed me to Jeep local dealership to do the investigation. The inspection is not performed yet.

On multiple occasions my vehicle has not recognized the key fob when I have been at the vehicle. I have actually been standing by it trying to open the door and it would not respond. Even if I was holding the key fob in my hand next to the door it would not respond. I would have to manually push the unlock button on the fob to be able to enter. This has caused me personal safety concerns when in unfavorable situations and I could not immediately gain access to the interior of my vehicle. The memor seat and easy exit functions have repeatedly failed to operate as they should causing me to be out of position when driving requiring manual resetting of the position. The heads up display consistently shows the incorrect speed limit. Google Maps and Carplay intermittently become disconnected while I am driving creating a safety hazard when I am using Google Maps guidance. The date below is simply the most recent time these happened. Again, these have happened repeatedly over the period of ownership.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2023-2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, and 2023-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L vehicles. The pivot bolts for the roof rack crossbars may not have been tightened properly, allowing them to detach.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Detached roof rack crossbars can create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the roof rack crossbar pivot bolts, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 8, 2026. A second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 81D. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, 2025-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, 2026 Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L PHEV vehicles. Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A TPMS warning light that fails to notify the driver of low tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 29, 2026. Consequence: A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
