2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Car cut off while driving, again. Full dashboard started to flash, warnings, stated that there was no battery, no gas. I was stopped in traffic and managed to pull over and had restart the car. This is the second time that it has cut off while driving . The first time my toddler son was in the car in morning traffic and it cut off. This is an extreme safety hazard for myself, my family and others driving. The entire system failed. It was supposedly fixed before but the problem is still there.

New vehicle failure to start on four occasions over approximately sixteen months due to overnight parasitic battery drain. Following the first incident the dealer replaced both the main and auxiliary batteries. Following the second incident the dealer tested and charged both batteries and performed software update to body control module (BCM). Following the third incident the dealer tested both batteries and checked codes. Following the fourth incident the dealer replaced both the main and auxiliary batteries. The incidents required towing or jump starting.

Vehicle was unable to be shutdown and was locked in park. Can was not responding to turning off while in the garage and engine running. Since the vehicle was inside an attached garage, we were concerned about Carbon Monoxide getting into the house. No way to turn car off and had to involve police/fire department. Disconnected the battery terminal in the trunk which was unable to be opened, so we had to crawl through the side passenger door to get into the trunk. The vehicle is now at the dealer (Wilde Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, at [XXX] in [XXX]). No police report #, but CAD entry from officer in having to assist. The transmission fails constantly when we are accelerating - approxx 50-58 miles per hour the transmission freezes & the RMP's stay @ 4-5 thousand for 20-30 seconds - it fails to downshift. This is extremely dangerous at any time & can cause a major accident if the vehicle is stuck & you need to stop! We have have left the car several times for this issue & they keep telling us they cannot replicate the issue. (We are older & we are given looks like we are nuts)

This vehicle has now experienced three separate incidents of sudden loss of propulsion while traveling at highway speeds, requiring it to be towed to the dealership on all three occasions. Each incident involved the same dangerous defect, and after each repair I was assured, the vehicle had been repaired and was safe to operate. Despite those assurances, the identical defect has continued to recur. This is not simply a customer satisfaction issue; it is an ongoing safety issue that places my family and every motorist around us at significant for catastrophic event. On May 12, 2025, I took delivery of my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude. On June 23, 2025, the vehicle experienced its first sudden loss of propulsion while traveling at highway speed and was towed to Ryan Auto Mall in Buffalo, Minnesota. On January 5, 2026, the identical defect occurred again. The vehicle once again lost propulsion while traveling at highway speed and was towed to the dealership. From January 5, 2026, through May 13, 2026, my vehicle remained at the dealership for approximately four and one-half months while Stellantis and its authorized dealer attempted to diagnose and repair the recurring defect. Following that extended repair process, I was advised that the vehicle had been repaired and that the issue had been resolved. Settlement Agreement: On May 13, 2026, I executed a Release Agreement with FCA US LLC. As part of the negotiated settlement, I was required to enter into a lease for a 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The only reason I agreed to sign the Release Agreement and enter into the new lease was because I relied on Stellantis' representations that the 2025 Jeep had been successfully repaired and that the dangerous defect had been permanently corrected. Had I been informed that the vehicle remained susceptible to the same failure, I would never have agreed to retain the vehicle or execute the related lease agreement.

There is a serious malfunction between the hybrid and electric systems. The engine is making a loud noise, and neither the hybrid nor electric mode functions properly. In addition, the fuel and oil refresh warning remains on, even after refueling. These issues are ongoing and substantially impair the use, value, and safety of the vehicle.On January 2, 2026, and march 8 my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe shut down twice while I was driving home on the freeway. This vehicle is not safe to operate under these conditions.Despite these concerns, the issues have not been resolved. Stellantis has removed 4xe models from the Jeep website due to safety concerns, recalls, and a high volume of customer complaints. At this time, there appears to be no effective remedy, and a simple software update will not correct these defects.My vehicle continues to produce an extremely loud engine noise, even while operating in hybrid mode. I am very familiar with how a Jeep should perform—this is my fifth Jeep Grand Cherokee—and I have never experienced anything like this before. Even my previous gasolineonly models operated much more quietly. In contrast, both the hybrid and gas modes on this vehicle sound like a diesel truck. Additionally, the fuel and oil warning light remains on constantly. I have contacted Jeep Customer Care multiple times, as well as the servicing dealer, and I was repeatedly told to “add more gas and continue driving the vehicle.” Despite following those instructions, the issue persists. The warning light does not turn off, the engine remains excessively loud, and the fuel consumption is unreasonable. The situation worsens in cold weather. The battery drains rapidly from 100% without explanation, even when the vehicle has been properly charged. At this point, I am genuinely afraid to charge the vehicle and even more concerned about driving it.In addition, the vehicle feels sluggish while driving and frequently does not pick up power as it should. There is a noticeable delay

blackout on the radio cluster, and dashboard instrument cluster intermittently goes completely black while I am driving and sometimes it just keep blinking off and on. front driver side tire when I turn it feels like theirs something wrong with the front and while turning the driver side rear tire sounds like it’s dragging or constantly on gravel. while driving, the vehicle intermittently displays a traction light even though i’m just driving on the highway and straight paved roads that it doesn’t need traction on.

While flat towing this vehicle there was a failure that caused the brakes to melt down and almost start a vehicle fire. The proper process for flat towing for both the vehicle and the brake buddy classic 3 system were followed. The dealership would not provide the data log report which would explain the cause of the problem, but just blame the towing system. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act they are required to show proof of the fault.

While driving approximately 70 mph on the highway, my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe experienced a sudden and complete loss of power without warning. This created a dangerous situation with risk of collision. The vehicle is also subject to an active recall related to high-voltage battery fire risk, which prevents safe charging and normal hybrid operation. Additionally, at approximately 12,000 miles, the vehicle developed a transmission pump failure requiring repair. Due to these combined issues, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate, particularly when transporting my children. This incident represents a serious safety concern involving loss of propulsion at highway speeds.
