Making left hand turn through 4-way intersection. Car opposite of us also making left hand turn. Our Grand Cherokee collision system thought the two vehicle were going to collide and locked the brakes in the middle of the intersection almost causing a 4 car accident. This is the second time this has happened since purchasing 06/03/23. Driver neck injury sustained. Seeking medical attention. Jeep is currently at the dealership where they are trying to reproduce/diagnose with no success. We have a recently purchased Jeep L with 5200 miles on it. Never off road, just a family commuter. Today my wife was driving the car for the second time and the power steering went out completely and it was very hard to turn the wheel. A bunch of other likes came on like the adaptive cruise and active lane management and front collision icons. The dash was lit up with warning including a large steering wheel icon in red. We shut the car down and restarted multiple times and the issue was still there. After 15 minutes of being on the phone to get it towed to the dealer, the issue went away on the next start with just a check engine light remaining.

Bought the vehicle new. At around 3000 miles the vehicle dash had all dummy lights on and giving me all warnings. While driving the vehicle on two different occasions. One was out of town and the screens and dash board going black. I tried turning off the vehicle and back on to reset it. It did not work! Then on another occasion the screen went black would not power off. The dash screen read ALM and cruise control unavailable needs service. I drove straight to the dealership and showed them. They scheduled service the next day. Got a call one of the service technicians was aware of the situation and stated Chrysler needed to provide a recall on the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee or create an update for the software system. Vehicle is still not fixed. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle.

When slowing down at a stop sign, in snowy conditions, the vehicle went into brake assist and locked the brakes up. Causing the vehicle to slide at an interesting and collide with another car. I had complained several times to the dealer about the braking system being to sensitive and touchy before the accident. This was purchased new and the accident happened about 1800 miles on it. Also, the air bag did not deploy. I was told by the dealer, it was because the impact was not hard enough. But the alerts on my phone, said air bag failure Since the accident, I have had this jeep back to the dealer several times. I asked for a full brake inspection, because I have never driven a vehicle that 1- brakes for you for no reason, 2- extremely touchy. The dealer service dept admitted the brakes were touchy, and drove an identical model to compare, and concluded that it must be normal. Didnt actually inspect them. It is NOT normal, and I do not feel safe driving this vehicle in the winter. I have since turned off all brake assist options in the settings, but it is still auto braking. Today at about 3000 miles, when slowing down to make a turn, the emergency braking system started acting up with no one close to me. There is something very wrong with this system, and needs to be addressed before serious injuries happen.

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while shifted in reverse, the rear-view camera failed and displayed a blank screen. The contact then stated that the front camera then failed and displayed a blank screen. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a software glitch that needed to be updated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that they were aware of the issue with no time frame. The failure mileage was approximately 25.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear coil spring lower isolators, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed September 29, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89D. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe and 2022-2026 Grand Cherokee 4Xe vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. The upper control arm ball joint and steering knuckle may separate and cause the wheel to fall outward, resulting in a loss of vehicle control.
Consequence: A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles. A hybrid control processor (HCP) software error may cause the defrosting and defogging system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An inoperative windshield defrosting and defogging system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HCP software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 29, 2024. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 04B.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The Central Vision Park Assist module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the Central Vision Park Assist Module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 31, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 56A.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. The rear coil springs may have been incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and if necessary, repair the rear coil spring assemblies, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 29, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 64A. This recall is replaced by NHTSA recall 26V051. All vehicles will need to have the new recall remedy performed.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles. An incorrectly assembled steering column intermediate shaft may disconnect from the u-joint, and result in a loss of steering control.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the intermediate shaft and assembly parts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 6, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 58A.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and Grand Cherokee vehicles. The air bag warning label may be missing from the dashboard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirement Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Without a label that shows the proper restraint usage guidelines, the occupants may have an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: FCA US, LLC will mail owners the warning label information, free of charge. Dealers will inspect unsold vehicles and install the required label, as necessary, free of charge.
