This car is factory equipped with Continential Cross Contact tires that wear on the inside on all 4 tires, specifically the inner tread lugs caused by the Jeep self adjusting air ride suspension. This a safety hazard from multiple manufacturing defects and suspension problems that affecting traction and handling. Tires are worn to 0 depth on the inside at 15,000 miles and this wear is hidden from the consumer since it is only on the very inside of the tire. The car was in alignment at all times and confirmed with an alignment check at 15,000 miles.

The rear coil spring fell off. I did not hear a thud or any noise. When I pulled out of my driveway I heard a scraping and when I got out, I saw it hanging down. In June 2023, I had a recall repair done for the rear coil springs, so this should not have occurred. I’m worried the recall was not done correctly.

While driving at approximately [XXX] on [XXX] heading northbound, the driver experienced sudden failure of the suspension/drivability of the vehicle. Immediately the driver was forced to veer over to the shoulder in front of [XXX] to inspect the vehicle. Driver noticed under the rear driver side tire, what appears to be a lower control arm/portion of the air suspension that had failed. This placed myself, passengers, and nearby vehicles/pedestrians at risk of injury or collision. The manufacturer’s service department at East Hills Jeep inspected the vehicle and a determination from the manufacturer on warranty claims likely will not come for a couple of months after the repairs are made. As a result, the repairs have been made, but there is an issue with the vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There were no warning messages, lights or symptoms prior to the spontaneous failure. The car is repaired, but I am concerned for the safety of this particular VIN and like VINs based on my experience with the vehicle and the manufacturers refusal yo take accountability. This vehicle has been making a noise in the front left side since new (day one). The vehicle has been taken to the dealership about 10 times in attempt to fix this issue. During the last service, the dealership performed multiple tests and concluded that the noise source is the engine motor mounts. If they disconnect the electrical plug of the motor mounts all the noises are gone. Consequently, they proceeded to replace the left front motor mount but unfortunately the noise is still there and concluded that there is no fix available right now. They understand that Jeep needs to redesign the motor mounts and update the software the controls the engine motor mounts. I know a few owners of the same vehicle that have the same issue. Jeep knows about it but doesn't do anything to redesign these parts in order to correct the design flaw. I can provide copy of the communications with Jeep if required.

Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026. This recall replaces NHTSA recall numbers 26V051 and 23V413. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.
