The contact rented a 2025 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while slowly pulling into a parking space, the engine revved and the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. The contact immediately depressed the brake pedal to stop the vehicle and shifted the transmission to reverse(R). During the failure, the vehicle crashed into a wall causing damages to the driver’s side front bumper. A Police report was filed at the scene. The failure mileage was 2,736.
