I LOCKED THE DOOR TO THE TRAILER TO SECURE THE OCCUPANT INSIDE WHILE I WENT OUT FOR A WHILE. THE OCCUPANT WAS UNABLE TO GET OUT OF THE TRAILER. SHE HAD SOMEONE OUTSIDE TO TRY AND OPEN THE DOOR AFTER SHE THREW THE INSIDE CONTROLS TO UNLOCK THE DOOR. THE TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR WITH OUT ANY SUCCESS. THE OCCUPANT WAS LOCKED IN THE TRAILER FOR SEVERAL HOURS - UNTIL I RETURNED AND UNLOCKED THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. THIS SEEMS LIKE A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD TO ME. I HAVE A JAYCO OCTANE TRAVEL TRAILER - 2009- THE DOOR LOCK IS DEFECTIVE. THE LOCK IS MADE BY BAUER. *TR
