This RV was equipped from the factory with an axle on which was a sticker stating that the axle had a "D35 Capacity" of 3500 lbs. The RV also has a sticker stating that the GVWR is 4200 lbs and the "weight of this recreational vehicle trailer as completed at the factory with full propane cylinder(s) and full generator fuel if applicable is 1624 kg OR (3582 Lbs.)" To my understanding, this means that the "curb weight" of the RV exceeds that of the axle capacity. The GVWR of the RV also exceeds that of the axle capacity. While towing the RV, I noticed the wheels were exhibiting a slight "excessive camber". Upon further inspection, I observed the axle to be bent. I believe it is a reasonable conclusion that the axle was bent because it was undersized for the RV. I was able to safely tow the RV to a trailer repair shop where I had the damaged suspension (axle and springs) replaced with a heavier duty suspension capable of carrying more than the GVWR weight of 4200 lbs.

– Electrical fire is possible at the wiring (12V and 110V) connecting the slide out room to the main trailer body. Closing the slide is jamming the wires between two metal flaps resulting in wire jacket damage and exposing the wires under power. – The 110V hot wire was damaged by another part mounted to the trailer frame resulting in shortening hot wire to the frame, spark and burning of electrical wire in she short proximity of combustible underbelly insulation material. – The dealer has not been contacted. – The vehicle was not inspected. – The issue appeared as a sparking under the left trailer wheel pair when connecting to the shore power at the campsite. Prior to the incident, the metal flap cut through the cable insulation and shortened the hot wire to the frame. There was no any indication of this issue prior to the incident.
