MY JAGUAR DISPLAY COOLANT FLASHED AND STATED THAT THE COOLANT LEVEL WAS LOW. SO ON SATURDAY MORNING I CHECKED MY JAGUAR COOLANT LEVEL RESERVOIR AND SURE ENOUGH MY COOLANT WAS VERY LOW. I ALWAYS KEEP A GALLON OF COOLANT ON HAND IN MY GARAGE. SO I TOPPED OFF THE RESERVOIR WITH THE WHOLE GALLON OF COOLANT AND LEFT FOR THE DEALERSHIP. NOW PENSKE JAGUAR AND LAND ROVER WHICH IS ABOUT 14 MILES FROM MY HOME. SO I GOT ON THE 405 FWY SOUTH TO THE 710 LONG BEACH FWY NORTH TO THE 91 FWY SOUTH TO THE 605 FWY SOUTH EXCHANGE TO THE SOUTH STREET EXIT TOWARDS THE DEALERSHIP. BUT DURING THE EXCHANGE TO THE 605 FWY SOUTH MY JAGUAR COOLANT LIGHT IN THE DASHBOARD CAME ON STATED THAT COOLANT LEVEL IS LOW. SO LIKE YESTERDAY I ASSUMED THAT I COULD GO THE EXTRA MILE OR SO TO THE JAGUAR DEALER WHICH AT THAT POINT WAS JUST A FEW MILES AWAY. NOW FROM THE 91 FWY EXCHANGE TO THE SOUTH STREET EXIT IS ABOUT ROUGHLY 1/2 TO 3/4 MILES. BUT I DIDN'T MAKE TO THE SOUTH STREET. MY JAGUAR STOP RUNNING ON THE OFF RAMP TO SOUTH STREET ABOUT 35 TO 50 YARDS FROM SOUTH STREET STOP LIGHT BLOCKING TRAFFIC. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED WORKORDER 81458 AND PHOTOS. CAUSE OF OVERHEATING THE ENGINE IS DUE TOO A PLASTIC OUTLET PIPE. WHICH WHEN IT RUPTURES OR CRACKS IT WILL LEAK ALL OF THE RETURN COOLANT COMPLETELY BEFORE IT REACHES THE ENGINE. AND ALSO THIS WILL CAUSE THE FUEL LINE TO RUPTURE AND CONTINUALLY PUMP OUT FUEL UNLESS YOU TURN OFF THE IGNITION. I WAS LUCKY BECAUSE HAVING THE FOUR-WAY FLASHERS ON AND THE DRIVERS DOOR OPEN IT RAN THE BATTERY DOWN. THE HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICER ASK TO SEE IF THE CAR WOULD START AGAIN. BUT THEIR WAS NO POWER AT ALL.
