Their is an issue with the headlight assembly where condensation gets in obscuring headlight clarity and potentially damaging the head light assembly electrical components. My vehicle is only 3 years old, never been in a front end accident, and out of warranty and the dealer quoted $1,655.86 to replace it.
Rodents chewed through fuel vent line. We did have emission warning light come on. Took to dealer and was told unsafe to drive. Seems to be an issue with the soy based lines used. Could have potentially resulted in a vehicle fire. Auto insurance will cover repairs but not rodent tape to prevent future reoccurance.
2022 Honda Ridgeline with 22,000 miles failed to auto restart at a traffic light. Driver had to manually restart the vehicle. Other drivers were forced to drive around at the intersection. No error codes were present on OBD2 connector.

I am having brake indicator light popup 4 time in three week with some strange noise while driving high speed on freeway. I researched found some recall on my 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Based on the provided VIN, [XXX], it appears show my 2022 Honda Ridgeline may be affected by two safety recalls: 1. Rearview Camera Issue: The rearview camera tailgate wire harness might break, preventing the camera image from displaying and increasing crash risk. This affects certain 2020-2024 Ridgeline vehicles. Dealers will replace the harness free of charge. Owner notifications were sent on November 8, 2024, for Honda Recall Number YI7. 2. Brake Master Cylinder Issue: An improperly assembled tie rod fastener could cause the brake master cylinder to separate from the booster assembly, leading to a loss of brake function and increased crash risk. This affects certain 2020-2023 Ridgeline, I called Honda customer service reported the problems case#[XXX]. However, No action from Honda at the time. Due to public safety concern and my self I report the incident for you to review. I am not sure this is the correct area to raise this concern. I had a 2017 Honda Ridgeline and bought a Tonneau Cover for it. I was informed it had a recall but did not have a chance to repair it. Fast forward the Tonneau cover is now on my 2022 Ridgeline but I am being told that the recall does not cover a 2022 Ridgeline. I tried to argue that the Accessory was recalled not the model year of the truck. The vehicle has nothing to do with the recall and repair to the Accessory. I have not had any luck getting my Tonneau cover repaired so I am raising this to this organization since in my opinion the recall should not have been issued with the assumption that people buy the cover new when they buy a new truck. Open to your feedback if you agree or disagree with me.

While trying to accelerate quickly from the start ,low 15 mph and moderate speeds when you feel you have to push the accelerator pedal all the way at once to the floor theirs a bad Hesitation where the vehicle is going nowhere. The accelerator cable by wire doesn't RESPOND when you want to accelerate . This can cause an ACCIDENT When you attempt to accelerate and the vehicle doesn't get out of its own way. This problem has the same symptoms of the older style carburetors when the accelerator pump goes bad. I asked the dealership about this problem and the reply is ,there's no Check engine light or CODES. Vehicle is working as it should . Problems happened soon after the purchase of vehicle.

I've had Honda work on it 2 times under warranty and they could never get it fixed right. I feel they should refund money or repair it with light's that don't fail. On June 3, 2022, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE22005 after the agency received VOQs and several field reports concerning the Auto Idle Stop (AIS) feature on 2016-2019MY Honda Pilot vehicles. The complaints allege that the engine fails to restart on its own from a complete stop at a traffic light or road intersection with the AIS function engaged. The subject vehicles are equipped with a 3.5L engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission. On January 6, 2023, Honda released service bulletins 23-008 and 23-009. These service bulletins address the failure to restart issue in the 2016-2019MY Honda Pilot vehicles, as well as the 2015-2020 Acura TLX, 2016-2020 Acura MDX, 2019-2022 Honda Passport, and 2020-2023 Honda Ridgeline vehicles. The repair outlined in the service bulletins is a two-stage countermeasure to remedy the issue. The first stage is a Programmed Fuel Injection (“PGM-FI”) software update. The second stage is only deployed if the software update fails to remedy the issue. The second stage, depending on the model and model year, consists of replacement of the starter assembly, starter relays, and a valve adjustment. Additionally, Honda extended the warranty coverage to 10 years with unlimited mileage for vehicles requiring the second stage component replacement. ODI continues to receive complaints of the AIS failure to restart, with many complainants alleging the campaign countermeasures had been completed.NHTSA has reviewed Honda's Information Request Letter responses involving warranty claims, lawsuits, and consumer complaints in addition to ODI's own data. This Engineering Analysis is being opened to further consider the potential safety defect, including gathering additional data regarding Honda’s service campaign efficacy. ODI is additionally expanding the scope to encompass all vehicles addressed in Honda’s service bulletins 23-008 and 23-009 as well as newer model year vehicles, which are substantially similar to the vehicles covered by the service campaign. To review the ODI reports cited in the Opening Resume ODI Report Identification Number document, go to NHTSA.gov.

PE24004 · Rear-View Camera Failure
Opened Feb 13, 2024 · Closed Aug 5, 2024
Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Back Over Prevention
On February 13, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened Preliminary Evaluation PE24004 to assess alleged failures of the rear-view camera (RVC) in 2020-2023 Model Year (MY) Honda Ridgeline vehicles. At this time, ODI has received a total of 50 complaints with allegations of the RVC image failing to display when the vehicle was in reverse. The RVC wire harness is routed near the hinge in the tailgate, in a location where frequent opening and closing of the tailgate causes bending stress on the harness. Honda determined the wire harness was manufactured with a material which is permeable to water and salt, which when it freezes and thaws, combined with tailgate usage, ultimately leads to breakage of the wiring in the tailgate harness. This results in a failure to display the RVC image. On May 9, 2024, Honda filed a Part 573 Safety Recall Report recalling all 2020-2024 MY Honda Ridgeline vehicles. The dealer will replace the RVC tailgate harness with a wire harness that is manufactured by a new supplier and has improved material properties to withstand wear from bending. In view of Honda filing recall 24V-321 addressing the subject of this investigation, ODI is closing this Preliminary Evaluation. NHTSA reserves the right to take additional action if warranted by future circumstances. To review the ODI reports cited in the Closing Resume ODI Report Identification Number document, go to NHTSA.gov.
