STARTING EARLIER THIS YEAR MY WIFE PUSHED THE START BUTTON AND IT MADE NOISE BUT DIDN'T START. I TOLD HER TO TRY AGAIN AND IT STARTED. THE STARTER IS TURNING BUT IS NOT MAKING FULL CONTACT WITH THE FLYWHEEL. THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE. SOMETIMES WE GO A COUPLE OF DAYS WITH NO PBOLEMS AND SOMETIMES IT OCCURS 4-5 TIMES IN ONE DAY. 3 FOR 3 WITH THE SAME VEHICLE AND SAME PROBLEM IN THE TOWN I LIVE. IF YOU SEARCH THE INTERNET YOU WILL FIND A LOT MORE PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. HONDA KNOWS ABOUT IT BUT REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT EXCEPT CHANGE THE STARTER AND CHARGE BIG PRICES FOR IT. IT SOUNDS LIKE A BAD STARTER DESIGN. PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THEIR STARTERS REPLACED ARE STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SUMMER IS COMING AND WITH IT BRINGS HIGH HEAT. STRANDED MOTORIST IN HIGH HEAT PRESENT BIG PROBLEMS FOR SOME. THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE SOLVED SOON.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOPLIGHT, A SLIGHT PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL HAS NO EFFECT ON THE CAR. SINCE THERE IS NO REACTION FROM THE CAR I WILL PUSH DOWN SLIGHTLY FURTHER ON THE GAS PEDAL IN WHICH CASE THE CAR ABSOLUTELY TAKES OFF AND ALMOST SPINS TIRES. VERY DANGEROUS IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, ESPECIALLY WITH THE MORE POWERFUL V6 ENGINE I HAVE IN MY CROSSTOUR. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH AND SCARES THE LIVING HELL OUT OF ME. NEXT TIME I BUY A CAR, I AM GETTING ON THIS WEBSITE FIRST. ALL BUT ONE CROSSTOUR COMPLAINT IS SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO THIS ISSUE.
