While driving the vehicle, the sunroof glass suddenly exploded outward with a loud, distinct "pop" sound. There were no vehicles or trucks immediately ahead of me, and there was no evidence of road debris, stray rocks, or external impact. While driving my 2025 Honda Civic Touring, the electric steering system suddenly malfunctioned without warning. While entering/navigating a roundabout, the wheels forcibly straightened out on their own, overriding steering input and causing the vehicle to crash directly into the roundabout curb/barrier. Prior to this sudden steering lockout/binding event, there were no known performance or handling issues with the car. Following the impact, the steering remains unsafe to operate, experiencing binding, severe misalignment, and persistent inability to steer smoothly. Mechanics have replaced the passengers lower control arm, ball joint, sway bar link, the passenger side strut tower, and two front tires because of the camber caused damage to the tires, but the vehicle's camber remains out of spec and the underlying steering binding/stiffness remains unresolved. I believe an internal defect or electronic lockup in the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system caused the vehicle to lose steering control prior to the impact.

I was driving merging onto the freeway and my sunroof completely shattered, no car was in front of me so, nor was I driving under a bridge, it just completely shattered. Looking as if someone grabbed a hammer or punched it, I know a rock wouldn’t shatter it, maybe crack but no it shattered. The glass looks like it lifted too , not caved in , so almost as if there was too much pressure as well. Have seen similar cases , not sure if any have reported but yes I have seen similar issues occurring. Thankfully I had my headliner closed , so the glass fell on there I had to pull over and figure it out, I did not touch the glass at all, as I’m currently having my Honda Dealership look at it. Just hope it doesn’t happen to others

This vehicle suffers from phantom braking. With the adaptive cruise control set, at times, in the display of the instrument cluster, the display shows a semi, motorcycle or car that is not there in real life. When this happens the car applies the brakes and starts slowing down. Sometimes this is bad enough that the collision warning message comes on and the brake application is very aggressive. The type of weather or road surface does not seem to matter. It seems to be very random. This happens once a week. Not just on the date provided below.

While driving, the steering wheel suddenly became stiff and difficult to turn, making it hard to control the vehicle. This happened unexpectedly and created a serious safety risk, as I could have lost control and caused an accident. At the same time, the braking response did not feel normal, which made the situation even more dangerous. This issue has occurred despite previous repair attempts, and the problem remains unresolved. I am very concerned about the safety of this vehicle and the risk it poses to myself and others on the road. No warning lights appeared before the issue happened.

the car has a major water leak causing excessive water around the sunroof and back rear windows. it’s causing the vehicle to fog up which causes a impairment for seeing outside and what’s around. over night the vehicle windows freeze up and become extremely wet and get into electrical components. the sensors stop working and no longer activate until the car “drys” up. this takes several days. previously the car had to be taken to the shop. the hybrid battery is still having problems and is draining most of the gas out. this vehicle is a extreme safety hazard to the excessive fog. the defroster does not help with anything. i have taken it to the shop 2 times & requested a buy back from honda corporation which was denied.

Second Windshield Crack – December 24, 2025 •On December 24, 2025, the replacement windshield also cracked without any impact. •This time, the crack began at the top right side of the windshield. •I discovered the crack when approaching the parked vehicle; there was no event that could have caused damage. ________________________________________ Safety and Financial Concerns •The vehicle is still under the manufacturer’s warranty and has only 16,653 miles. •The cost of windshield replacement is extremely high due to required ADAS camera recalibration, which is mandatory for safety systems to function properly. •Repeated spontaneous cracking raises concerns about: oStructural integrity of the windshield oPotential manufacturing or design defects oCompromised performance of ADAS safety features oRisk of sudden visibility obstruction while driving

A brand-new 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid sold by Lehigh Valley Honda had inoperative front and rear windshield defoggers immediately upon delivery. The defect caused persistent windshield fogging, severely impairing visibility in rain and cold conditions. The selling dealership refused to perform warranty repairs and stated the issue was in all Hondas. The vehicle was unsafe to operate due to impaired visibility, creating a potential crash hazard.
