Apparently a very well known issue, I've had my car for 17 months and the software error see dealer had been on every time I start my car for the past 14 of them. And sometimes when I'm driving. Took it to the dealer, as the screen prompts, they said they reset it, turned it on, and there it was. Don't think they even did anything, except maybe waste my hour and a half and then try to sell me services. I know there is a known issue with the software on this model shutting down the vehicle whilst driving, I sure hope that isn't the case with mine. I'll try to take it back to the dealership, but like I said, they either didn't know, couldn't fix it, or just wanted me to get new brakes the first time I was there, and I'd really rather make sure that it gets done correctly if I bring it back. Thank you very much, and have a great rest of your day

This network failure has forced the vehicle's VSP (Vehicle Sound Device for Pedestrians) Safety Module into a permanent hard offline (NG) state, operating the vehicle out of compliance with FMVSS No. 141. The manufacturer (American Honda Case #[Your Case Number]) and authorized dealership (Heritage Honda Parkville) have been provided video proof but have actively refused to schedule the vehicle for a high-priority warranty repair or issue a safe alternative loaner vehicle, leaving a safety defect active on public roads."

Honda put out a software update in March and found out Midway through that there was an issue with it so they stopped it on their end. My car unfortunately is experiencing an issue which the nhtsa apparently 23- 036, 044 and 045 I do not have systems updates menu I don't have a connection menu my car cannot receive a Wi-Fi signal or a Bluetooth signal it can only transmit a Bluetooth signal and Wi-Fi signal at this point. The car's been to Heritage Honda in Parkville Maryland twice I tried to take it back to the dealership where I bought it from actually, where it's leased from and still under warranty of course. Honda of Parkville said they did 23-044 and where it did clear the air that I was getting on my dash where it said systems update unavailable see dealer, I still do not have the connections menu and I don't have systems update menu the main apps menu on my display unit is missing the settings gear. The power/volume button of the display is supposed to do a soft reset if you hold the power button in for 10 seconds all attempts at the back door resets whether it be the display unit power button, doing the steering wheel buttons, pulling the TCU fuse and the audio backup fuse and I've even gone so far as to disconnect the battery for well over an hour all of this is ineffective at bringing those menus back. I even have access to an Autel Maxisys Ultra scan tool which can go in and reset the OTA module it can also perform Hondas updates via the j2534 pass through on its VCI adapter again all of this has been unsuccessful except for the attempt to do a software update using Hondas rental ihds software that they will allow you to purchase a pass for a day. I haven't tried that The dealers just don't seem to think there's a problem with this car I've got the owner's manual showing this car is capable of being a transmitter and a receiver for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. They're telling me no that because it's an ex with the 7-in monitor that particular trim level does not

In December 2024, I was driving my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport on a clear, dry day after school when the car just completely lost power out of nowhere. The dashboard went crazy, flashing a bunch of different error messages every few seconds. Because the car wouldn't respond, I ended up in a side-impact crash. I was able to turn on/off the car after putting on my hazards and I was able to drive it normally and drove it towards the side of the ramp. I called my dad and after some time and turning the car on and off, the error messages disappeared and I was able to drive it safely back home. I tried to file an insurance claim (State Farm #51-78K9-28M) back then, but they blamed my driving because the Recall TN2 (Campaign 25V785) hadn't been announced yet. I ended up giving up on the claim because money was tight and my dad was worried about insurance costs, but the car is still dented and scraped from that day as the error messages disappeared after I turned on/off the car on the side of the highway. I just want it on the record that this 'loss of drive power' recall caused my accident a year ago after seeing the recall on the mail.

Vehicle was taken to Honda of Round Rock for the Integrated Control Module (ICM) Recall (NHTSA Recall 25V785). The dealership performed partial service but stated a 'gateway' part is on backorder. Since this service, the vehicle has been returned to us with a non-functional speedometer, non-functional speed sensor, no A/C/defrost, and multiple disabled safety sensors. Driving without a speedometer is a severe safety hazard. The manufacturer has provided no timeline for the part and refused a loaner, leaving us with an un-roadworthy vehicle as a direct result of a recall repair attempt.

RQ24006 · Front Seat Belt Assemblies May Be Missing The Rivet That Secures The Quick Connector And Wire Plate

Opened Apr 4, 2024 · Closed Mar 26, 2025

Status: closed (inferred from source dates) · Seat Belts; Seat Belts:front

On April 4, 2024, the Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) opened RQ24006 to investigate American Honda Motor Co.’s (Honda’s) proposed remedy for recall 23V-782 as well as scope of the vehicles involved. Honda issued recall 23V-782 on November 21, 2023, which concerns certain model year (MY) 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Honda Accord Hybrid, and Honda HR-V vehicles. Recall 23V-782 states that the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioner assemblies may have been manufactured without a rivet that secures the pretensioner quick connector and wire plate. Recall documentation states that seat belt pretensioner assemblies that are missing the rivet will not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a collision, increasing the risk of injury.Subject defective seat belt assemblies are installed as original equipment for both the driver and front passenger positions for the HR-V, but only for the driver position for the Accord and Accord Hybrid. The recall remedy for 23V-782 instructs the technician to inspect both front seat belt pretensioner assemblies and, if necessary, replace them. The inspection procedure requires the technician to utilize a pull force gauge to determine whether the subject component is missing the subject rivet and requires replacement. Parts requiring replacement are determined by whether the pretensioner quick connector separates from the pretensioner assembly while the technician is pulling on the seat belt. If no separation occurs, then the part is determined to be not defective and not require replacement. There have been no reports alleging a failure of seat belt pretensioner assemblies after the inspect and replace remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed. Additionally, no comparable failures have been observed in field data for similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall. As of the 4th quarter of 2024, the recall completion rate is at approximately 84% of the total recalled population. In view of the lack of failures after the remedy for recall 23V-782 was performed, and the lack of failures in similar vehicles outside of the scope of the recall, ODI is closing this Recall Query (RQ). The Agency reserves the right to take additional action if warranted by future circumstances.
