CONSUMER HAD TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR A CONTINUOUS BURNING SMELL IN THE FRONT BRAKE AREA, DEALER STATED THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS AND THIS WAS NORMAL BRAKE WEAR, THE FRONT BRAKES WERE REPLACED AT 21576 MILES, ON JULY 16TH CONSUMER GEARED DOWN USING THE BRAKES AND BEGAN TO SMELL SOMETHING BURNING, CONSUMER PULLED OVER TO SEE THAT BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT-FRONT BRAKE AREAS WERE ON FIRE, FLAMES WERE SO INTENSE IT ALSO CAUGHT THE ABS SENSOR WIRES AND TIRES ON FIRE, A STATE CERTIFIED BRAKE DEALER FOUND THE FIRE WAS FROM THE TWO PLASTIC ABS SENSOR HOLDERS, CONSUMER FEELS THE ABS SENSORS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MOUNTED ONTO A PLASTIC BACKING PLATE THAT COULD EASILY CATCH FIRE, CONSUMER IS REQUESTING COMPENSATION FOR THE EXPENSES INCURRED. *SLC
