I WAS MADE AWARE THAT MONACO WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAILING ARMS CRACKING AT THE LAKE DE QUEEN, ARKANSAS CAMP GROUND BY A FELLOW RV'R ON MARCH 12, 2015. I CHECKED MINE AND COULD SEE THE R/H ONE WAS CRACKED. I INSTALLED THE UPGRADED ONES FROM SOURCE ENGINEERING ON MAY 10, 2015 AND UPON REMOVAL I DISCOVERED THE L/H ONE WAS ALSO…

I WAS MADE AWARE THAT MONACO WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH TRAILING ARMS CRACKING AT THE LAKE DE QUEEN, ARKANSAS CAMP GROUND BY A FELLOW RV'R ON MARCH 12, 2015. I CHECKED MINE AND COULD SEE THE R/H ONE WAS CRACKED. I INSTALLED THE UPGRADED ONES FROM SOURCE ENGINEERING ON MAY 10, 2015 AND UPON REMOVAL I DISCOVERED THE L/H ONE WAS ALSO CRACKED BUT COVERED WITH UNDERCOAT. THE TRAILING ARMS EFFECTED ARE THE ONES THAT HOLD THE REAR AXLE IN PLACE.
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH ATWOOD SEALED BURNER RANGES, THE RANGE AND SLIDE-IN BURNER TUBES LEADING FROM THE GAS MANIFOLD TO THE BURNER HEADS HAD A DEPRESSION OR 'KINK' IN THE EXTERIOR BEND RESTRICTING PROPER AIRFLOW AND GAS MIXTURE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CONDITION COULD RESULT IN CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.
Remedy: MONACO IS WORKING WITH ATWOOD TO HAVE THE TUBES REPLACED ON THESE RANGES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 14, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ATWOOD AT 1-800-348-7418 OR MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.
