2022 Highland Ridge Fw Mesa Ridge

2022 Highland Ridge Open Range Lite RL262RL, VIN [XXX], built 11/2021. Purchased new from Blue Dog RV, Hayden ID, XXX. Registered owner since XXX. We live in this trailer full time; it is our only housing. Three recalls cover this model year and line: 22V303000 (LP gas quick disconnect, 05/05/2022), 22V573000 (awning, 08/04/2022), 22V775000 (cooktop flame inverts when furnace runs, 10/14/2022). I have never received notification of any of them. 22V303000 issued ten weeks before I bought the unit. Its production range, 07/07/2021 to 04/19/2022, covers my build date; it names Open Range Light travel trailers, estimates 100% defective, and lists dealer and owner notification for 07/01/2022, fifteen days before my purchase. Nothing was disclosed at sale. 22V775000 owner letters were due 11/21/2022, when I was already the registered owner. Failures: thermostat has never worked correctly. A/C failed early, was replaced at my cost for installation, still short cycles. Furnace failed, was replaced under warranty, failed again; we spent an entire [XXX] winter without heat and now use portable propane heaters. Cooktop igniter never worked. Jayco shipped a replacement, we installed it ourselves, still non-functional. No stove or oven for the entire ownership period. I contacted Jayco repeatedly by email and sent a written complaint to Jayco Owner Relations on 04/03/2024 listing eleven defects, copied to DeMars & Associates for DRP-RV mediation. Recalls were never mentioned. Every repair offer required delivering the trailer to a dealer. We live in it and have no alternate housing, so no offered remedy was usable. Trailer and all components are in my possession and available for inspection. Not inspected by manufacturer, police, or insurer. Symptoms began within the first months of ownership. On October 1, 2025, my wife and I stopped to use the restroom and stretch our legs. While walking around or RV, we noticed a problem with the 5th wheel area of our RV. Upon inspection, we realized there was a major problem due to the fact that we could see into our closet when we looked at the separation that had occurred from the lower panel and the nose cone. We immediately called our extended warranty company. We were advised to get it to the closest repair facility if possible. We drove 25mph to reach Camping World. Camping World diagnosed the problem and reported it to the Extended Warranty company.The Extended Warranty company refused repair because they said we were in a collision. WE WERE NEVER IN A COLLISION. Camping World called them and advised that there was no collision and requested an inspector to come take a look. The inspector acknowledged there was no collision but the Extended Warranty company still stand by their initial response. I have called them more than 10 times to plead my case but to no avail. It clearly states in the contract that broken frame welds are covered. My next contact was with the manufacturer and the company that built the frame. The manufacturer claims no responsibility because they did not build the frame. The company that built the frame says they have a 3 year warranty and this exceeds the 3 years so they are not responsible. The problem here is that the area of concern is covered by a panel. There was no way of knowing there was a problem until it finally presented itself. There beam on the passenger side is cracked in multiple places and all 5 welds are broke. on the drivers side, the beam is also cracked and 3 of the 5 welds are broke. The only thing keeping the trailer from separating from the truck was the nosecone. If my wife and I hadn't stopped, it was possible the RV could have separated from the truck causing a major accident or death. The rig is in storage as it is not able to be towed or used.
