The contact owns a 2022 Harley-Davidson RH1250 S. The contact stated that while riding at an undisclosed speed, the motorcycle lost automotive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The motorcycle was towed to the dealer, and it was determined that the camshaft sensor had caused damages to the engine, and that the engine needed to be replaced. The motorcycle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the motorcycle was no longer covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 200.

After owning my motorcycle for less than a year and only having 4211 miles on it, and taking it to the Harley dealership they determined that the 4th gear exploded and sent shrapnel throughout the engine and oil pump. The bike is outside manufacturer warranty and Harley(the company) won’t admit that this was a defect on their end, although the dealership repair tech did say that he thought it could have been due to a defective part.

The steering stop ( right one ) located at the Lower Triple Clamp broke off, No drops or any harsh movements where involved, motorcycle has few hundred miles in it.. There is no stop on how much one can turn the steering towards the left now.. It recently passed VA Inspection. No warning or signs that this issue was going to happened. I see many people have the same issue with the same model of motorcycle.
Harley-Davidson Motor Company (Harley) is recalling certain 2021-2026 RH1250S (Sportster S) motorcycles. The upper triple clamp may fracture.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An upper triple clamp that fractures can lead to a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the upper triple clamp, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 19, 2026. Owners may contact Harley-Davidson customer service at 1-800-258-2464. Harley-Davidson's number for this recall is 0191. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V590. Motorcycles that were repaired under the previous recall will need to have the new remedy performed.
