TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON FLHT MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A CHATTERING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE WHEELS SUDDENLY SEIZED AND THE RPMS AS WELL AS THE OIL PRESSURE LEVEL GAUGE DECREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTICS. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT DEBRIS HAD ENTERED THE BEARING AND THE OIL PUMP, DAMAGING THE CAM CHAIN TENSIONER. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,576.
