The front floating brake rotor became loose after a few hundred miles. At the 500 mile mark, the bike was taken to the dealership for the first service. I asked them to repair the rotor. When I picked up the bike nothing was said until I asked. They said the brake rotor was supposed to be loose. The rear rotor is also the floating type, but it was firm as it should be. I was told to take a hike. I then called HD corporate. Initially, the rep was concerned and placed me on hold. When he returned, I was given the same story. The front rotor was supposed to be loose, but not the back. I own 7 motorcycles, all with floating brake rotors... BMW's, Hondas, and Ducatis. I have owned motorcycles since 1969. None of those bikes ever had loose floating brake rotors. Later I found out on the internet that this is a known problem since at least 2021. There are YouTube examples on the internet. I immediately traded my bike for a different brand. Riding a bike is dangerous enough without having a properly functioning front brake. I would rather be safe than sorry. I will never own another Harley Davidson. I lost big on that deal but maybe I will stay alive!
