TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A ROD PREMATURELY FRACTURED INTO THE FUEL TANK AND A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD. AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT FUEL HAD LEAKED ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECT…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A ROD PREMATURELY FRACTURED INTO THE FUEL TANK AND A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD. AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT FUEL HAD LEAKED ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED AND DIAGNOSED BY A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED MORE THAN TEN TSBS ON THE FUEL SYSTEM, BUT A MANUFACTURER RECALL CAMPAIGN WAS NOT ISSUED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT A WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIRS AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 233,000.
