THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS TRUCK PROVIDE INADEQUATE LIGHTING, INCLUDING BOTH LOW BEAMS AND HIGH BEAMS. ANY NIGHT DRIVING IS DIFFICULT DUE TO LIMITED VISIBILITY, THERE SIMPLY IS NOT ENOUGH ILLUMINATION TO SEE. CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS - ESPECIALLY AT SPEEDS ABOVE 35 MPH OR DURING PRECIPITATION. THE HEADLIGHT HAS A SEVERE DESIGN FLAW WITH GMS APPROACH AT A SHUTTER SYSTEM. THIS TYPE OF DESIGN DOES NOT LEAVE ANY OPTIONS FOR SIMPLY CHANGING THE TYPE OF BULB - THE DESIGN IS ACTUALLY AT FAULT FOR THE POOR VISIBILITY. THE VISIBILITY PROBLEMS SIMPLY CANNOT BE FIXED WITH A DIFFERENT BULB TYPE DUE TO THE SHUTTER DESIGN TYPE. MANY COMPLAINTS ARE BEING REGISTERED ONLINE RELATED TO THE VISIBILITY PROBLEM. THESE TRUCKS ARE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. IF THERE IS A STANDARD FOR MINIMUM HEADLIGHT ILLUMINATION FOR NIGHT TIME DRIVING, THIS MODEL HEADLIGHT NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED IF IT IS MEETING THE MINIMUM STANDARD. NOT SAFE, A DEFINITE PROBLEM THAT NEEDS ATTENTION. *TR

HEADLIGHTS ARE A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THIS TRUCK. CAN NOT SEE THE SIDES OF THE ROAD AND THE ROADWAY IS VERY DIM. I HAVE CONTACTED GM MANY TIMES WITH NO ANSWER TO THE PROBLEM. ONE TIME THEY SAID, TURN ON THE FOG LIGHTS WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO TURN A CORNER. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 GMC SIERRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE HEAD LAMP HIGH BEAMS WERE TURNED ON, BUT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE ADEQUATELY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WISH TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE HEADLIGHTS ON THIS VEHICLE. THEY ARE REALLY TERRIBLE. LOW BEAM DOES NOT PROJECT FAR ENOUGH, AND HIGH BEAM SEEMS TO ILLUMINATE ROAD SIGNS AT A DISTANCE, BUT NOT ADEQUATE FOR THEIR PURPOSE. SEEMS AS THEY ARE MORE OF A SPOTLIGHT THAN A HEADLIGHT. Oct 30, 2015
General Motors (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD, Chevrolet Express, and GMC Sierra HD vehicles, and model year 2013 GMC Savana compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles that fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 303 "Fuel System Integrity of Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles." In the affected vehicles, the text of the CNG fuel-only label is smaller than the required size, and as a result, may be less noticeable.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Text that does not conform to the required labeling size could inhibit fuel tank inspection practices and safe refueling, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: GM will notify owners and will send them a replacement label, free of charge. The recall began December 3, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 13365.

In the affected vehicles, the ignition lock actuator may bind, making turning the key difficult or causing the ignition to get stuck in the "Start" position.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: If stuck in the "Start" position, the ignition may suddenly snap back into the "Accessory" position, causing a loss of engine, steering, and braking power, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. If the vehicle is in a crash, the air bags may not deploy, increasing the risk of occupant injury.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ignition lock housing, free of charge. The recall began on November 20, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 15573.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat hook bracket assembly weld and replace the lower seat track, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on August 15, 2014. In the affected vehicles, an electrical signal short may cause the transfer case to shift to neutral without the driver's input.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: If the transfer case switches to neutral while the vehicle is parked and the parking brake is not in use, the vehicle may roll away increasing the risk of injury to bystanders. If the transfer case switches to neutral while the vehicle is being driven, the vehicle would lose drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will re-program the software in the transfer case control module, free of charge. The recall began in early August 2014. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, and 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban vehicles equipped with a base radio and an internal amplifier. The radios in the affected vehicles may become inoperative, and as a result, there would be no audible chime to notify the driver if the door is opened with the key in the ignition or no audible seat belt warning indicating the seat belts were not buckled. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention," and 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Without an audible indicator, the driver may not be aware that the driver's door is open while the key is in the ignition, increasing the risk of a vehicle rollaway. Additionally, there would be no reminder that the driver's or front seat passenger's seat belt is not buckled, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
