I BOUGHT THIS 1999 GMC SIERRA 1500 3 DOOR TRUCK ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO THE BODY HAS NO SIGN OF RUST.BUT UNDERNEATH IS LIFE THREATENING I WAS DRIVING NORMAL SPEED MAYBE 55MPH AND I HEARD A POP AND MY FRAME BROKE IN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES BECAUSE OF RUST. LIKE MANY OTHERS THE MODULE THAT CONTROLS MY ABS ON 1999 GMC 1500 WENT BAD AT 81000 MILES. THE DEALER REAIR COSTS $1020. FROM READING THESE MESSAGE BOARDS IT APPEARS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THESE UNITS THAT GM WILL NOT RECOGNIZE.THIS IS MY 4TH GM TRUCK AND THE ONLY ONE TO EVER HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
