10/09 4 AIRBAGS REPLACED ON SEMI. 12/16 SITTING IN DOCK OF BUSINESS, HEARD A VERY LOUD NOISE.MY TRAILER WAS SITTING DIRECTLY ON DRIVES. MECHANIC DETERMINED, THE 2 FRONT AIRBAGS HAD CAME "UNSEATED". RETURNED TO OH & PARKED TRUCK FOR 3 MONTHS. TRUCK BACK ON ROAD 3/2/10. 4/7/10 LEFT REAR AIRBAG BLEW. MECHANIC SAID HE RESEATS THESE WEEKLY, IT'S NOT UNCOMMON. SAID IT IS A DESIGN FLAW FREIGHTLINER IS AWARE OF. THE LIP ON BASE IS TOO SMALL TO SECURE BOTTOM OF AIRBAG. 4/18/10 3 AIRBAGS BLEW WHILE AT THE TA. THEY RESEATED THEM (MY HEIGHT IS SET AT 2 5/8"STOP TO THE FRAME). BACKED UNDER TRAILER, PULLED FORWARD LOUD EXPLOSION, AIRBAGS BLEW. FREIGHTLINER WONT REPLACE THEM, I AM SITTING HERE WAITING ON 4 NEW AIRBAGS (MY EXPENSE) TO REPLACE. TA MGR. SAIDLAST WEEK, TECH. WAS KILLED WHEN AIRBAG BLEW, HE STATED THIS WAS IN TN. MY AIRBAGS HAVE BLOWN 4 TIMES IN 6 MONTHS, THANKFULLY, NO ONE INJURED. DO NOT FEEL IT IS SAFE TO RESEAT THESE, AS ADVISED. BOUGHT 4 NEW, AM TAKING THE OLD WITH ME. *TR
