I have an actuated door lock on the drivers door for electronic locks. It recently started buzzing and not locking when I lock the doors, all of the other locks work fine. This lock buzzes whether I push the button inside the truck, push the lock button on the fob and also when driving about 5 miles per hour. Again, all of the other locks work as they are supposed to. I looked and asked my dealer about a recall on this issue and there is not one. I have a co-worker who had a similar problem with his ford truck that is a few years older and he received a letter from Ford extending his warranty so the part would be replaced at no cost to him. I am requesting the same thing as mine 2020 Ford has the problem currently and even though I can lock it manually when I use the keypad to unlock the doors it does not work either and I feel this is a safety issue and would like it corrected. I have attached a copy of the letter my co-worker received with the program number included for repair. -10R80 Transmission began malfunctioning at 86,000 miles. Per Ford dealer, the shift strategy was cleared which did not resolve issue. Internal transmission failure was suspected and transmission was replaced. -From a complete stop, the truck would not want to shift from 1st to 2nd gear unless driver let off the gas causing unnecessary risk. From there, truck would shift extremely hard while under acceleration. Additionally, there were instances where truck would not downshift while slowing down to a stoplight. Truck remained in 7th gear at the green light and could only be moved by switching truck to manual shift. -Issue was verified by an independent shop along with a local Ford dealer. -Unsure if the component has been inspected by manufacturer as it was replaced by them. -No engine lights, codes, or other symptoms.

Started having rough shifting from 1st to second at 99k miles. Quickly progressed to 3-4-5 gears shifts. Finally couldn’t drive the truck in auto because it was having trouble finding/shifting into gears up to 60mph. I had two instances when driving in 8th gear around 55mph and the transmission randomly shifted to second. Caused the vehicle to lurch violently and over-rev the engine. I had several other instances when traveling above 60mph in 10th gear and the gear indicator flashed between 10th and first gear. Thankfully it didn’t actually downshift. Tried taking it to a dealership near me but they were backed up two months on transmission work. I wound up taking it to a local shop and they rebuilt the transmission. They found the typical c-d-f drum bushing failure that is common in the 10r80 transmissions.

RQ21002 · Rearview Camera Fmvss 111 Noncompliance

Opened Aug 3, 2021 · No close date supplied

Status: open (inferred from source dates) · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera

On September 23, 2020, Ford Motor Company (Ford) filed a noncompliance recall report under 49 CFR Part 573 (NHTSA Recall No. 20V-575), recalling 620,246 Model Year (MY) 2020 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, Explorer, Mustang, Transit, Expedition, Escape, Ranger and Edge, and Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair vehicles for a noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 111, Rear Visibility. Ford's recall described the noncompliance as insufficient electrical conductivity within the printed circuit board (PCB) internal to the camera leading to intermittent rearview camera operation. The supplier of the cameras was Magna Electronics.According to Ford's chronology in the Part 573, during the period February-April 2020, Ford identified and monitored warranty claims pertaining to intermittent or inoperative rearview cameras. Ford reviewed supplier product changes, focusing on changes introduced by the supplier in the October-November 2019 time frame. The Part 573 stated that the issue was brought to Ford's Critical Concerns Review Group (CCRG) for review on May 12, 2020.On July 7, 2020, NHTSA's Vehicle Research and Testing Center (VRTC) informed the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) of a trend of MY 2020 Escape vehicles with rearview camera malfunctions. ODI contacted Ford the next day, providing five Vehicle Owner Questionnaires (VOQs) alleging inoperative rearview cameras. On July 15, 2020, Ford met with NHTSA to discuss the rearview camera issue. In a subsequent August 24, 2020 meeting, ODI and NHTSA's Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance (OVSC) met with Ford to discuss the recall status and additional VOQs. Ford presented rate and scope data for many of its MY 2020 products during the August 2020 meeting indicating high failure rates for certain models. This RQ is being opened to investigate both the timeliness and scope of Ford's rearview camera recall (20V-575), and Ford's compliance with reporting requirements. The subject reports referenced in the opening resume are identified by the following ODI reference numbers which can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov: 11349813, 11344126, 11342696, 11341486, 11340254, 11337274, 11331444, 11330875, 11329235, 11316960, 11343521, 11341884, 11337226, 11344018, and 11339573.
