They completed the oil change an topped off the oil Per the technician, the oil was not burnt. Per comment on receipt "it appears oil was not filled to correct level on last oil change 01/22/25 Took vehicle back to Joe Myers to be checked for excessive oil consumption 01/22/25 Received estimate for repair service 01/23/25 Picked up vehicle Repairs completed: (1) oil change (2) Reprogramming PCM (3) Replaced dipstick; was told to return after 3000 miles to be checked again 03/20/25 Brought vehicle to Joe Myers at 3000 miles; was told after inspection that entire engine replacement was necessary at a cost of $11,007.10; Service Advisor, Kevin Ryan said Joe Myers was not responsible for the damage 04/10/25 I was referred to Service Manager, Phillip Martinez. He referred me to the Ford Motor Company to ask for good will. He gave me the number to call and said that was all he could do 04/11/25 Mr. Martinez told me he would check with Ford good will himself on my behalf 04/16/25 Ford agree to pay $5000 total 05/01/25 I received the vehicle back from Joe Myers with the engine replaced; paid $5,369.19. The vehicle has been "inspected" by Joe Myers at minimum 10 times since purchase. Why was the Technical Service Bulletin from Ford (TSB)19-2365) completely ignored thru all 10 inspections? I also suspect that Joe Myers technicians did not fill it with oil. I should be reimbursed for either reason INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORM

The 10-speed transmission downshifted from 10th gear to 1st gear, and then back into 10th again. This sequence happened 3 times in a row, with the 3rd causing a service light to be displayed. This occurred while on the highway with cruise control set at 75mph. The truck is available for inspection upon request. This transmission malfunction caused an abrupt and rapid deceleration, as well as, a loud clunk and temporary lockup of the rear end. The deceleration and loss of power had the potential to cause an accident with cars around me, or a loss of control from the rear end. There are an overwhelming amount of reports of this same issue online, as well as, numerous at the dealership. My truck has been to the dealership and they are claiming it is due to overfilling of transmission fluid during my recent transmission rebuild.

I have a 2020 F150 with just over 58,000 miles. I work from home, and do not tow. While driving up a four lane highway to Boone, NC, my vehicle's transmission appeared to get 'confused' and threw a fault. I took my truck into a dealership to have the issue resolved, and was told that I needed an entirely new transmission because the CDF drum was failing to the tune of almost $10,000. I have brought the issue of hard shifting, and the transmission slipping up to Crossroads Ford of Kernersville previously, but they have refused to look at it because of it was not throwing a code. I called Ford, and they stated that the vehicle would have to encounter a total failure with the transmission before they would look at it. They referred to me driving on a four lane highway to a higher elevation as extreme driving conditions. [XXX] was built in 1930, which is they road they referred to as 'extreme'. From there, the manufacturer told me that they would cover 40% of the repair. To me, this indicates a known issue with the vehicle's transmission and CDF drum and requires a recall to be issued by Ford Motor Company. This is a known issue amongst many F150 owners, and a simple google search will show that many drivers have experienced this. This has been addressed by TSB 22-2428, but Ford should be responsible for manufacturing a defective product. I do not tow, do off-road activities, and I work from home. There is no scenario where my actions should cause this type of failure. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Status: open (inferred from source dates) · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera
On September 23, 2020, Ford Motor Company (Ford) filed a noncompliance recall report under 49 CFR Part 573 (NHTSA Recall No. 20V-575), recalling 620,246 Model Year (MY) 2020 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, Explorer, Mustang, Transit, Expedition, Escape, Ranger and Edge, and Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair vehicles for a noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 111, Rear Visibility. Ford's recall described the noncompliance as insufficient electrical conductivity within the printed circuit board (PCB) internal to the camera leading to intermittent rearview camera operation. The supplier of the cameras was Magna Electronics.According to Ford's chronology in the Part 573, during the period February-April 2020, Ford identified and monitored warranty claims pertaining to intermittent or inoperative rearview cameras. Ford reviewed supplier product changes, focusing on changes introduced by the supplier in the October-November 2019 time frame. The Part 573 stated that the issue was brought to Ford's Critical Concerns Review Group (CCRG) for review on May 12, 2020.On July 7, 2020, NHTSA's Vehicle Research and Testing Center (VRTC) informed the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) of a trend of MY 2020 Escape vehicles with rearview camera malfunctions. ODI contacted Ford the next day, providing five Vehicle Owner Questionnaires (VOQs) alleging inoperative rearview cameras. On July 15, 2020, Ford met with NHTSA to discuss the rearview camera issue. In a subsequent August 24, 2020 meeting, ODI and NHTSA's Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance (OVSC) met with Ford to discuss the recall status and additional VOQs. Ford presented rate and scope data for many of its MY 2020 products during the August 2020 meeting indicating high failure rates for certain models. This RQ is being opened to investigate both the timeliness and scope of Ford's rearview camera recall (20V-575), and Ford's compliance with reporting requirements. The subject reports referenced in the opening resume are identified by the following ODI reference numbers which can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov: 11349813, 11344126, 11342696, 11341486, 11340254, 11337274, 11331444, 11330875, 11329235, 11316960, 11343521, 11341884, 11337226, 11344018, and 11339573.
