The cruise control can be easily and accidentally activated and can be activated at any speed. Once activated, it has a minimum established speed of 15mph. If traveling at low parking lot speeds of under 5mph, this will result in a sudden surge as the truck attempts to hit the minimum 15mph speed. The sudden surge is a surprise to many and can be dangerous as it typically occurs in low speed areas such as parking lots and can be accidentally activated during low speed maneuvers. Recommend the manufacture adjust the settings so that either cruise control can not be activated when below the established minimum speed setting of 15mph. The contact stated that the vehicle was in line at the car wash when the failure occurred. The vehicle re-ended the vehicle in front, which caused several vehicles to crash into one another. In addition, the vehicle bounced off the curve and crashed into two other parked vehicles before landing on the side of one of the vehicles. The contact stated that the whole incident happened in about five seconds. The contact stated that a parked police vehicle was one of the vehicles involved in the crash. No injuries were sustained. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the tow yard. The vehicle was scheduled to be towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

While in Adaptive Cruise and self driving the Lightening, dangrously crosses lines and rides too close to the right side. This results in other drivers actively swerving off the road to avoid a collision as well as intervention by me. I have videos of all of the following occurring while operating the vehicle: 1. Riding and crossing the right line (white and dotted when passing) 2. Vehicle crossing the double center lines into oncoming traffic 3. Watch the road warning and cancelling of adaptive cruise even when I show I AM WATCHING THE ROAD I have videos of the activity the truck is experiencing

If a microscopic crack is present, condensation can potentially enter the reversing lamp lens through these cracks and cause electrical failure to the reverse lamps. Safety Risk This may result in inoperative reverse lamps which can reduce the awareness of other motorists or road users of the drivers intention to operate the vehicle in reverse gear, increasing the risk of injury or crash. Campaign/NHTSA# 23C38/23V801 Issue Date 2023-11-28 Description Affected vehicles may have software logic that does not reset the electronic stability control esc system to default operation at the initiation of each ignition cycle. Section 5.4.1 of fmvss no. 126 requires that the vehicles esc system return to the manufacturers original default esc mode at the initiation of each ignition cycle Safety Risk The vehicle operator may not notice that the vehicle operates differently after receiving the ota update 6.3.0 and now remains in off-road mode with a reduced esc state after cycling the ignition. If the vehicle operator does not notice the esc off telltale in the cluster, they may not know the vehicle is in a reduced esc state. For these vehicles, failing to revert back to a normal esc-on state after being in off-road mode makes the vehicles noncompliant to fmvss no. 126, increasing the risk of crash. Remedy The remedy for this program is a software update to accessory protocol interface module apim. Ford began Ford power-up over-the-air deployments to update the apim software for affected vehicles in November 2023. Alternatively, owners will have the option to take their vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to complete the software update. Campaign# 23B1

Runaway Throttle at least 8 times now: 1. Driving in adaptive cruise control when deactivated by manual braking (to turn into a parking lot, which is a more common scenario for a brake based shutoff) 2. Parked nose first and shut off the truck 3. Start truck and reverse out of parking space 4. Shift to drive, apply throttle gently and truck continues to accelerate when throttle released requiring a PANICKED brake application
