2023 Ford F-150 Hybrid

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the message trailer brake module fault was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the turn signals were blinking quickly. The dealer had been contacted to schedule an appointment, but the vehicle had not been taken to the dealer. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in a recall or in the SSM. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was 4,000.

On numerous occasions the truck fails to accelerate and bogs down when taking off and turning at the same time. This has occurred when pulling out of a parking lot onto a busy street where cars are going the speed limit of 45 mph. When pulling out and making a turn you push the gas and nothing happens. The truck is basically coasting from the initial take off and is going less than 20 mph. Suddenly the cars that were coming down the road are right on top of you swerving and hitting there horn because they think you deliberately pulled out at the last minute in front of them. In actuality you pulled out of the parking lot with ample space. The problem is the truck did not accelerate. Secondly the truck handles terribly when pulling out of a driveway that has multiple angles. The truck can violently toss riders around in the seat at low speeds. This could cause someone to lose control of the steering wheel. I have reported these problems to ford dealer. I have either been told there is no problem or told “we found the problem and fixed it” only to experience the same dangerous faults time and time again. I have gone as far as telling the dealer to put in their records that I said “someone was going to get killed in a car wreck because of these flaws.”

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the failure was due to the key fob. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 14,500.

After driving for approximately 2 hours, A/C stopped blowing out of vents. Even adjusting the fan speed up & lowering temp, vents did not blow air. However, I could hear air blowing within console. During this time, defrost of windshield did not work. I turned off system for approximately 30 minutes and then system began working. This same situation has happened 2previous times.
