My truck has BlueCruise technology. I have noted that the technology can be dangerous and drive me off the road, particularly in an area of an Interstate I drive often. Each time I go through that area, it will drive me off the road if I don't catch it. Always in the same place and in the same way.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed and towing a camper, the vehicle made a shuddering sound and failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact was unsure what warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the contact was informed that there was a recall related to the failure. The dealer replaced the rear axle hub and seals. The contact stated on another occasion while driving at an undisclosed speed, unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The dealer replaced the rear wheel speed sensor. The vehicle was returned to the contact, and the contact stated that the vehicle failed to drive or reverse as needed. The vehicle was taken to another dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was related to the recall. The vehicle was not repaired, and the contact stated that the warranty was used to repair the vehicle two times to repair the rear axle; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

We have been stranded twice for the recall issued in late January 2024, for the rear axle. The truck is currently at the 5th dealership since January2024. The truck is not driveable and Ford still does not have a way to fix the issue. We are having the axle replaced for the second time by a Ford dealership, with no assurance that they have determined how to solve the problem. We picked the truck up from the last axle repair on 2-21-24. We had a rear wheel sensor issue on 3-6-24, after driving less than 1000 miles. On 3-28-24, the axle defect occurred again. The truck was towed again. The Ford website says they do not yet have a solution, yet their certified mechanics continue to “fix” the issue.

-The surround sound speaker system has produced a load popping sound as if being struck by lightning on several occasions upon starting the truck. It is extremely loud and normally goes away after a few seconds. The most recent incident occurred while I was driving and did not stop for several minutes. It is as if the radio is turned to it's highest volume and produces an electrical static sound. I had to return to my home and shut the truck off to stop the sound. I restarted the truck twice and the sound started again each time. -This is a tremendous saftey issue as the shock of the sound is very frightening and could cause someone to lose control of the truck. In addition, the sound is so loud that I was unable to hear any outside sounds or sirens. It could cause hearing damage as well. -It is a very sporadic issue and until my most recent incident, only occurred upon starting the truck. It's very difficult to replicate with the dealer, but I understand this is happening with many owners of Ford F150's. -The vehicle has not been inspected for this specific issue. Normal maintenance has been followed and there has been nothing to indicate this is an issue. -No warning lights, but there may be a connection with the software updates. This is pure speculation, but it seems to occur when Ford pushes a software update to the vehicle.

I am having multiple electrical glitches with the vehicle. While I was in bluecruise the self driving mode the vehicle warned me to take control and when I did the vehicle was stuck in a loop on the highway with notifications alarms. I was able to take a video one of the times. I took it to the ford dealer and they said they needed me to bring it back when an engineer was available. While waiting to go back had another serious issue with the head unit/audio system when I started up the vehicle. Ear damaging sounds came on and I lost control of the head unit. Shut the truck off and turned it back on and the ear piercing noises persisted. I made a video of this too. My head unit randomly reboots while driving the vehicle. Went back to ford and they did an update instead of having engineers diagnose the problem. Audio system still doesn’t work right and I think it is damaged from the event.

This 2021 F150 is equipped with Ford BlueCruise. More than one time the truck has tried to leave the road while engaged. It also has a very dangerous trait - when the BlueCruise is active and the system wants the driver to take control, THE AMOUNT OF FORCE IT TAKES TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL OFTEN CAUSES THE TRUCK TO SWIRVE TO ANOTHER LANE OF TRAFFIC. THIS IS A HUGE SAFTEY CONCERN and has caused many near miss accidents at high speed, for me.
After coasting or turning I lose all ability to accelerate for a short period of time. When trying to merge the truck fails to speed up causing a dangerous situation where traffic jams up behind you

Vehicle's engine will not start. When attempting to start, it will turn on all usual electrical components, but will immediately show an warning message to "Stop Safely Now" along with an engine light of a red outlined truck with exclamation mark. Followed by a message of accessory mode on, however the engine will not start with no access to power steering or shifting gears. Normal attempts to jump start or charge the battery will not work. All fuses and harness connections appear to be normal. After researching Ford community forums, this appears to be a common complaint in the Powerboost Hybrid 2021-2022 Ford F-150s. Extremely inconvenient as this situation has left us stranded several hours from home with no reasonable solution other than to tow to a dealership. We hope our message helps encourage Ford Motor to continue researching the issue and come with a reasonable solution for all effected.

The truck applied the brakes and that was avoided but at that moment my dash lights came on, no ABS, brake light, engine lights, and traction control all lit up. I was near my exit and got off applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Basically no brakes, I was pumping and could hear some type of noise like a hissing or air leak. Because i was going up an incline was able to stop otherwise i would have hit someone. When I stopped could see brake fluid leaking and the truck also made like a pumping noise i believe from the brake system and another hissing sound. Had the truck towed to Ford - They stated a leaking brake line from EBB to the right front caliper. There was no leak until I slammed on the brakes. The truck has 27, 901 miles

Recently completed the safety recall for my 2022 F150 axle bolt replacement. The dealer informed me that this is a "repair" and not a solution to why the axle bolt broke leading to replacement of both the left and right axle shafts. My dealer service manager told me Ford does not have a permanent "fix" to the axle bolt problem and will keep my recall service ticket open as this bolt may break again. I am concerned about my safety driving this truck now. Please assist with my issue and others who are experiencing this same problem.
