2022 Ford F-150 Hybrid

I was driving on the busiest section of interstate in my city which goes up a bit of an incline. I was in the left lane. As I was going up the incline, the RPMs on my truck jumped way up and then I lost all power. My dash lit up with a red message saying "STOP SAFELY NOW" and I had no propulsion at all. There is no shoulder on the left side of this interstate and very little shoulder on the right. I had to whip over across 2 lines with zero power while I was losing speed, almost getting run into by 2 separate tractor trailers who both had to slam on their brakes and honk at me. I made it to a tiny section of shoulder up against a large retaining wall. It was so tight that the only way I could get out of my truck safely was through the passenger door, and then it would only open halfway before hitting the wall. Thankfully, our state's DOT emergency vehicle showed up about 15 minutes later to help mitigate traffic. I had to have the truck towed and it is now in the shop. Ford has known about the issues with the CDF drums in these trucks for a long time and have an associated TSB for it: 24-2176. It's a transmission issue, and there is already a class action lawsuit against Ford over the 10R80 transmission. This is the most dangerous situation I have ever been put into in my decades of driving. Ford is negligent in this by acknowledging that there are potentially catastrophic issues with their transmissions and doing nothing to remedy them on their dime. Over the months prior to this, I had minor issues in 8th, 9th, and 10th gear where occasionally the transmission felt like it "slipped" slightly. A service engine warning would pop up, but it would go away after the truck was restarted and the issue wouldn't pop up again for weeks. The Ford service people back in February claimed they had fixed it when I took it in by reprogramming a module.

The contact stated that the turn signal was flashing constantly. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the trailer brake module was unresponsive. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

Component: The B&O Unleashed speaker system upon turning vehicle on, put out this extremely loud pop and then extremely load crackling noise followed by extremely loud constant noise that only stopped when vehicle is turned off. Health: Ears are still ringing causing terrible headaches. Dealer: No, Ford has done nothing about it No confirmation of issue No inspection No warning lamps/messages/symptoms

The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The driver's side rear shock mounting bracket weld broke. This creates a suspension and safety problem as the rear bracket and shock are moving and could interfere with the wheel/axle. The problem was confirmed by a dealer and independent service center. An engineer from Ford Motor Co. inspected the failure. There were no warning or other symptoms of the problem other than a squeaking noise while driving.

I have confirmed that my passenger side rear axle bolt has sheared off and I am concerned about the safety of driving my truck. I need a remedy, I have contacted Asheville, NC Ford dealership, they said they would talk to a manager and get back to me. I am concerned about my safety with continued use of my new truck. I need Ford to take this matter seriously.

Vehicle loss of power!! After turning occasionally I will only have enough power to remain at low low speed. Sometimes having to pull over to side of the road because I can’t gain speed and traffic is coming quickly. Problem lasts 30 seconds or more before it kicks in. Doesn’t matter if my foot is pressed to the floor there is no response.
